DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE*. I just got home from there and ordered 4 kids meals. According to their menu, the kids meals are supposedly priced at $5.50 each...including tax it should have come out to $23.32......Instead they charged me $28.50. I asked for a breakdown of my payment and why it was so high....apparently because of COVID, and in order to not raise prices, they are charging 8% tax instead of 6% (not sure who is getting the extra 2%), they also charge an additional $2.00 service charge (for what, I don't know), AND they charge extra for the chocolate milk which used to be included in the kids menu price.....WHAT!? So in order to not raise prices, you are raising prices deceptively? What you are doing is dishonest, unless I was misinformed by one of your employees. I understand that the cost to do business can change, but your listed prices should reflect that...honest, upfront and without several hidden fees. How are you charging an additional 2 % tax? when the government legally only will take 6%? So this is SUPER SHADY. Middleton has a 0% local sales tax, so definitely should be 6%. Not to mention the actual food. So we get home and actually look at the burgers ...WOW! the beef patties are literally 1/4 of the size of what they used to be....so much so that the buns look over-sized and about 80% of this burger is bread...The meat looks old, dry and paper thin. And to make it worse, both of my kids complained of stomach pain right after eating it....I'm not making this up. I will absolutely NOT be returning to this place until the quality and deceptive pricing issues are resolved. This is NOT California, people here do not support taxation without representation, and we most certainly, more than anything, DO NOT want it to become...
Read moreFood was delicious and the Cherry malt was awesome.. Update and Edit from 12/6/18 We got 4 meals, 2 kids and 2 adult. Both adult meals had little to no sauce very dry and underwhelming. My husband who eats leftovers 3 days old wouldnt finish his burger and that says alot. We had to add alot to our burger from home to be able to eat them. I got the same burger 2 weeks ago and it had different ingredients and I actually enjoyed it. Service was still very slow and unprofessional then. The kids seemed to be fine with theirs. I normally don't review badly unless its well deserved.. This happened to me before when I contacted the new owner because the chicken fried steak I got was so hard I couldn't cut it with a fork and knife. She offered me the same meal to try again at 1/2 price which was still not very good but edible.. Today the employees seemed less than motivated, food was horrible and we waited at the window for about 5 mins before even a "Hello" or "We will be with you in a moment.." Not even any eye contact to let us know they knew we were even there. This was after we waited in the line for about 15 minutes. The people behind us seemed very aggravated and drove off before we even got to the window. (There was only 1 truck ahead of us).. Id say they are unprofessional and need some serious training. This may be my last try here since 3 out of the 5 times I visited this place, it has been beyond...
