The bagels here are great, but the experience leaves a lot to be desired.
Earlier today (Sunday, August 24), my wife ordered online through the Bagel Nook website, just a bagel with butter and a pork roll and cheese with salt, pepper, and ketchup. The site estimated 12–15 minutes. After about 20 minutes, she went inside. Understandably, it was a busy Sunday morning, and we anticipated maybe an extra 5 minutes. Instead, she waited an additional 35 minutes for two simple item.
What made it frustrating wasn’t just the wait, but the disorganization. Customers who ordered after her, even with similar items, received their food first. She even got a text saying the order was ready, but when she asked, the cashier told her, “If you don’t see the bag over there or we didn’t call your name, it’s not ready.” Meanwhile, the cashier spent time on her phone instead of helping when she wasn’t ringing up orders, and communication between staff seemed tense and chaotic. At one point, a team member said she couldn’t call out orders because she was too busy, while another worker yelled that she needed to. Another customer nearby was also upset, saying he had been waiting 45 minutes.
It seemed like they were short-staffed, and the lack of communication only made things worse. Online ordering felt pointless since the system said “ready” when it clearly wasn’t.
The bagels themselves are delicious, but the customer experience was disappointing. If they can work on organization, communication, and properly managing online orders, it would make a...
Read moreThis place was made for Instagram and TikTok. The bagels are big soft and chewy. Personally, I prefer bagels that are firmer and denser with a little crunch to them.
They have tons of different spread flavors ranging from Cotton Candy to Flaming Hot Cheetos to Vegan Vegetable. Bagel flavors are vast as well, with cereal bagels like Fruity Pebbles to savory Loaded Potato Skins to typical Egg Everything.
I tried a sweet Smores Bagel, and it just was not for me. To me, bagels should be more savory. As expected, the Smores Bagel with Oreo Cream Cheese tasted almost like a cheesecake. Again, just not for me.
The Egg Everything bagel with Bacon Scallion cream cheese was nothing special. As stated earlier, the bagel is big, chewy and fluffy. Was nothing special to travel out of my way for.
What was impressive to me was the self-serve coffee bar. With a big variety of iced and hot coffees.
The place was rockin’ busy at 9am on Sunday but they were well staffed. The line moved quickly and I only waited a few minutes for my order.
All in all, I WOULD return for the coffee bar selection, but would not go out of my way for their bagels. They are unique and different, and fun conversation pieces but in my opinion, you can find much better quality homemade tasting bagels...
Read moreFood is amazing!! I’ve came to this location a great deal of times and the food always turns out great. However, the service is inconsistent and every encounter I’ve had needs improvement, to a point where I wouldn’t come back and will stop recommending.
My fiancé called to place a phone order the other day, and the girl who picked up asked what we wanted. When she heard it was a long order, she said, “Sorry we’re not taking phone orders, have a nice day” then HUNG UP.
There is lack of urgency from the staff, some have an attitude, and paid orders are being misplaced. Not just with me, but I’ve observed it happening to others. I just received my single bagel order placed 40 minutes ago, which was just sitting behind the staff counter where it didn't belong and is now cold. I would have some grace if it was hectic in there, but it wasn’t at all.
I’ve watched the manager work before and she’s amazing! Really keeps things in line. It’s sad to see how poor the service can be when...
