Sheepshead Baygels — Restaurant in Holmdel Township

Ordering from them on DoorDash is a nightmare because of their menu. They need to fix their menu. Their menu is so broken and messed up, it leads to a lot of confusion and messed up orders. Also not a fan of an item saying that it comes with cheese on it, but then it has a required cheese type option that adds $1.25 to the price. How does Egg, Meat & Cheese NOT COME WITH CHEESE??? You have to pay extra to get cheese on a sandwich that is supposed to have cheese?? Their bagel toppings are also abysmal, the everything has a few poppy seeds on it and that’s it. More of a deli than a bagel shop

FOOD - Bagels were hard very dense and very tough. Early morning visit so they were not old but had a not fresh taste. Very tough. No everything seasoning on top of bagel and a little on the bottom which was strange. Pork roll was sliced nicely. Pork roll was good. Lunch may have been better here. The toasted bagel was barely toasted. Toasted on the grill, I think they don’t have a toaster which is strange for a bagel place.

SERVICE - service was fine. No other customers so it was quick.

Bagels are good. Unfortunately the staff is another story. Older lady at the counter is very rude and not customer friendly. Walked in there at 1:40 to order some sandwiches. They told me that the only thing I can get at that time were bagels. I asked what time they close and the lady rudely told me that they close at 2:00 so I asked her why I couldn't order food and she told me that they were all cleaned up for the day.
