Central House Of Brews — Restaurant in Middletown

The space is very big, lots of dart boards. Pool tables. The music is good. Lots of TVs and sports. We were there around 6pm on 2/9/19. The bar tender, not so much. We got there to check it out and to meet a friend that was in the area. I waited at the bar for 10 minutes before I got beers. Which wouldn't be a big deal of the bar was full. I counted 6 people at the bar, but all of them had drinks. So I turn my attention to the bar tender who is taking shots with guys at the bar. I can only conclude that's the reason for my wait. I opened a tab and gave the bar tender my debt card. Our friend shows up, and he also waits a while for beer. After he sat down he ordered another round on his tab. He never got those beers and the bar tender decided it was time for a smoke break. We cashed out and the bar tender charged our friend for the beers he never got, then proceeded to debate with him whether she served him or not. Once that was settled she lost my debt card. She did not keep it with my friends card in the register. She had my card and someone else's card out on the bar where it could be stolen or compromised. Then she argued with my wife whether she had the card or not (instead of actually looking for the card). Once we were calling our bank to cancel it she then made the statement "just chill let me look for it" that leads me to believe A) she knew she wouldn't get paid. Or B) she was going to steal my card info. I'm not sure if this bar is understaffed and needs a new bartender but I'm sure the owners will be happy to know she was also pulling her shirt down to expose herself to the guys at the bar. If you guys were going for this atmosphere and that look then you have succeeded. If not, then I would make the changes needed. Until changes are made we will not be back, nor recommend this...

The owners knew how to make this place exquisite, with a detailed renovation and transformation to a trendy place for singles or crowds alike. This is a great bar. The staff are all awesome and the owners are very friendly. Each and every time I have been there I have had a great time.
