Jon's Restaurant — Restaurant in Middletown

Quite the strange experience. I expect it to be slow late on a Tuesday afternoon, but with how busy it seems to be on the weekends, I didn't expect it to be empty. But I understand the heat was broken or something, so maybe that turned people away. I dont know. The food I got was ok, and it did come put quickly, as to be expected on a pretty slow day. But the vibe was odd. Piano music in the bar. Coupled with sports, news, and UFC on the other TV. The bartender was rarely at the bar. I waited probably 10 minutes before seeing anybody, and another gentleman who was there before me had also been waiting. I didn't really understand that. Maybe because it was cold, they went to hang out in the kitchen or something? Honestly, I'm not sure. I had such high hopes, and as I said, this place is usually packed on weekends. And it's so close to home, too! But I was kind of let down, honestly. I think the restaurant is lacking a clear identity. The piano music, absent bartender, and JUST ok food doesn't really leave me with a feeling of wanting to...

Ordered a buffalo chicken pizza and requested for the pizza to be cut in squares. No issue with the service which is the reason for the 3 stars on service as they were great/willing to fulfill the request and friendly on phone but how they performed the task was very alarming. They cut the pizza in squares but cut the squares riddicously small like mini bites. Like who cuts a pizza like that?? So this essentially ruined my experience with eating the pizza but from what I can tell the pizza was edible nothing special. Tasted better the next day. It was delivered so was not freshly hot and abit cold but I cant knock the restaraunt for that although it would be beneficial for them to seal the pizza box when being delivered with tape could help. I may order from here again to give them another chance so review may change but the low score is mostly from how small the pizza squares were cut which leads me to tell they are not expert...

My wife and I ordered two grinders to go as we did a week ago. This time, there was an issue. My chicken cutlet had a funny taste, and I called the restaurant to let them know. The lady I talked to was nice and said she needed to talk to the cook. He said nothing was wrong with it. I stated there was as I then got sick. He stated that isn't possible.
