Lan’s Wok — Restaurant in Middletown

Finally, a decent Asian American restaurant in my area. Lans Wok is clean, has a great menu, great prices, and the food we had here was excellent. The Spring Rolls were the best I have had in a long time. If you are mostly Vegan, like me, try the Bean Curd and Mixed Vegetables. Total delicious. The location is great also being right next to Penn State Harrisburg, the airport, and the train station. Parking is basically unlimited. There are several Asian American restaurants in the Middletown, Steelton, Highspire area but I would call this, so far, the best one around here for this type of food. I won't be going anywhere else soon. I think I have waited for years for a decent Asian food restaurant near me. I don't eat a lot of Chinese-type food due to the sodium level, so it took a while to try this place. Unfortunately for me, now I am going to have to visit more often! No stars would be more appropriate. I called in an order,spoke to a person.. not online. I spoke with a woman and gave her a 44 dollar order. Then I get two phone calls from them. I tried to grab the phone, but it only rang twice each time. No messages. So I called them. An automated recording saying they're closed. I think ok.. so they put that on by mistake.Maybe they called me to say the order was ready and to ask if I was on my way. I drive to the restaurant. It's dark,no lights,door locked. A sign on the door stating they are closed due to an important event. This is the second time I went to Lans Wok only to see this same handwritten sign on the door. A couple tips for the management. If someone calls in an order and you have an emergency, LEAVE A MESSAGE! If you're not going to be open during your posted business hours,expect to lose business.
