I literally just placed an order in person. I used 1 of the 4 menus that they had sitting by the cash register. In ordering a pizza and a salad and used the pricing identified on the chalkboard for the pizza special which was fine. However, when it came to the salad I asked for grilled chicken and on the menu it is shown as $3.50. Now, I ordered from this restaurant last August thru December at least 30 times and ordered a salad with grilled chicken on at least 25 of those occasions and in many cases ordering 2 salads at a time. I usually placed the order in person and took it to go. A few times I ate in and twice it was a phone order for pick up. I worked literally 100 yards from this place. My job changed locations and this is the first time I have been back. What an awful experience by the female manager that was working in the bar area and states she has been there 7 years. The female cashier taking my order stated she had to go ask how much for the grilled chicken. I said, well it should be $3.50 as stated on the menu. She went and asked and came back and said $5.00. I asked why is it different and she mumbled something about it being a larger salad. That has nothing to do with the price of the chicken. She said the menus are from their sister restaurant and so I said then why would you have them displayed with the wrong price. She said that is why they state on the menu prices are subject to change. I asked how long has it been “changed” to $5 and she said since she has been there which is 7 years. Well that is a flat out lie since I paid the menu stated price for 5 months while she was employed there and I have never had a cashier have to ask. They used the same menu and the same menu price I, as the customer could see. In addition, the menu’s used to have black lines through certain menu items that were no longer available, and some of those items were salads. If the chicken should be $5 why is the $3.50 not crossed out? It has never been crossed out. Apparently, the ethics of this manager honoring the menu price is not important and when the customer (me) mentions it she decides the best course of action and customer service is to stick to her guns and insist in collecting the extra $1.50. It has been years since I have seen that as a customer which is so surprising I had to write a review about. She offered to give me the owners email but no need. He might see and read this review and he might take the time to discuss with his 7 year manager how $1.50 impacts his business versus the impact of an unhappy customer and a negative google review. Hopefully she will do better next time for the next customer because they won’t be getting another opportunity to do the right thing for me. Just an...
Read moreTonight I ordered two chicken filets and fries from kids’ menu and 4 large single slices of pepperoni pizza plus two bags of chips. I also called back for two sauces each, bbq and honey mustard.i also ordered the pizza to be well done. I’ve been ordering regularly from Italian Touch since moving here in September 2018. I called with the first complaint because according to the menu online the children’s chicken fillet meal still had three fillets. Well I only got two in both orders and I also asked when they started charging for sauces because I’ve never been charged for sauces before. I was informed that today they rolled out a new menu and hadn’t had time to update, and she politely reminded me that on the very bottom of the menu online, it does say items are subject to change With no notice or whatever. Well I got to look at my receipt because I was curious as to how much they may have cost us tonight, so I called back again extremely shocked to find out he jumped 2 dollars so that was four dollars and the pieces of chicken were much less not nearly as big as they normally typically are and I know I’ve been buying these for six years almost . actually, I want to say I was politely informed, but I’m not so sure it was politely was a little bit snarly, I was informed that she had had people coming there for 20 years, who had never ever complained about the prices, but I told her it was disappointing. I am a senior citizen living on a fixed budget and when we used to ordering something else all the time we know what to expect right at least we should know that I get that it is what it is so I asked her on the receipt according to the receipt chips was down three times I said, so what does that mean that I was supposed to have gotten three bags of chips and she said yes you didn’t. I said no we got two bags of chips and I had three witnesses to this is not just my word so she put $.65 Credit on my account and I told her to forget it because I’m not sure I’ll be coming back. I’m just really disappointed. This has happened one other time too and I think you’re doing the public and injustice putting that little teeny tiny note...
Read moreI originally ordered food at 6:45 this evening, the food was delivered at around 8 I ordered 3 things, of the 3 2 of them were completely wrong, ordered a fried chicken salad with no onions, got a chef salad with extra onions. Got two steak and cheese subs one with only Mayo which actually had tomatoes, onions, lettuce and guess what? NO MAYO. I called back and spoke with a manager, he assured me that the food would be remade immediately and I specifically told him that I didn’t want new food if there was going to be a wait, I have kids and they are hungry. Again, he assured me that he would bring it right out (I live 5 minutes from the restaurant) top priority. They just got here with the food, over an hour after i spoke with them, and 2 1/2 shouts after I originally ordered the food. At this point I just wanted my money back, I had to feed my family something else after ordering $35 worth of food. I explained this to the manager who delivered the food and he proceeds to tell me that he will give me the money back but they will never deliver to this address again. And that he doesn’t know what I expect it they are busy and that’s just the way the world works now 😳 I am absolutely appalled. We order from there generally once or twice a week and have come the past 3 years. That was the rudest most inconsiderate thing I’ve ever heard from someone who manages a restaurant say to a loyal customer. And believe me being a bartender for 10 years, I’ve heard some crazy things. I highly recommend you don’t spend your...
