43 Years of Extraordinary Food, Service and Atmosphere.
My wife took me to Arturo’s on Friday night June 27, 2025, for my 75th birthday, which is actually Monday, June 30th. We were greeted by a smiling and energetic young lady who showed us to our table. Next we were served potato croquettes, cheese and the most phenomenal Sopressata I’ve ever eaten with great basket of bread. YUM and YUMMER!!! Our server Isabella greeted us and took our drink orders. My wife had a Negroni (her favorite cocktail) and I had a Markers Mark on the rocks. When she returned with our drink she told us about their specials for the night asked if we had any questions about the menu then gave us some time before returning to take our order. I ordered 2 appetizers, stuffed zucchini flowers, stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella and prosciutto and escargot. Both apps were incredible. My wife ordered Capellini with Crab Meat, made in a light tomato sauce with garlic, arugula and sun dried tomatoes. There was an amazing amount of jumbo lump crabmeat, so sweet and delicious. I totally enjoyed Braised Short Rib with Risotto. Its braised for 48 hours and served over Arborio Risotto with tomato and toasted pine nuts. The short rib was sooooo tender if I did not have any teeth I could have eaten it. Just marvelous and astonishing. I enjoyed a glass of Chianti with my meal. Molto bene!!! We ended of our dinner with two regular coffees and shared a slice of house made cheesecake with caramel sauce. A Phenomenal Ending to a Great Dinner with Extraordinary Food and Service. Thanks to ownership for creating notable memories with great people, great service, great food resulting in great experiences. I want to recognize our server Isabella. She is a benchmark in my opinion for servers to strive to be. Truly an asset to Arturo’s. If you’ve never been to Arturo’s give it a try. I know you agree with me it is a...
Read moreHad an 8 PM reservation celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. Arrived about 10 minutes early. Place was jammed. Checked in and then waited and waited and waited. No one ever came back to update us on our wait time. The place is loaded with "regulars" who may get preferential treatment. The maitre 'd is a joke as is his assistant. We inquired after 30 minutes and were told another 15-20 minutes. When an hour had passed, we left. However it was now 8:50, we needed to find a restaurant and also pick up some wine for dinner. All this on a Saturday night in Bergen County! We went to Limoncello's in Waldwick, stopped at the liquor store there and bought wine. When asked how we were, I briefly went into our 1 hr. wait on our 50th. As we left with our purchase, the clerk said "Happy Anniversary" and handed us a Power Ball ticket. I'm waiting for the numbers to come out but I can't get over what a great gesture this was. Brought a smile to our face on an otherwise disappointing evening. Dinner at Limoncello's was very good.
But, back to Arturo's. I would not go back there if they gave us our meal for free. Can't comment on the food cause I never got to taste it, however, if someone has such little regard for you or your time, why would you patronize their establishment?
Stay away from this place. They don't need your business and it clearly shows!!! I gave it 1* because I think that's the lowest...
Read moreA Memorable Night at Arturo’s. More Than Just Dinner. Nestled in Midland Park, Arturo’s offers more than a meal. it’s an experience that lingers with you. From the moment we stepped in, we felt the comforting embrace of true Italian hospitality.
The highlight of the evening was the homemade pasta special with NJ tomatoes and lumps of crabmeat. Each bite was a masterclass in flavor, fresh, tender, and seasoned to perfection. It was a standout dish that set the tone for the entire meal.
We ended on a sweet note with their tiramisu, a cloud-like delight that was both delicate and indulgent. Even my five-year-old couldn’t get enough of his spaghetti and meatballs. It was heartwarming to see him savor every bite with such joy.
Adding magic to the evening was the live pianist playing just steps away. The soft notes created a charming, almost cinematic backdrop to our dinner. It made the night feel extra special. Like we were part of something uniquely intimate.
As for service, Greg, our attentive and gracious waiter, managed our party of nine with calm confidence and sincere care. He was incredibly accommodating, making each of us feel like honored guests.
If you're seeking a place that blends exquisite food with soul-soothing ambiance, Arturo’s is a must-visit. We left full, happy, and already dreaming about our...
