Sunny Japan — Restaurant in Midland

There must have been a change in chefs, or management. I gave Sunny Japan 5 stars a year ago, but after last week I probably will never go there again. I didn't check my food before I left, and that's my bad, but the food was definitely their bad. My gyozas (dumplings) were like wet noodles. My wife said they looked like ravioli or just wet pasta. They sucked so bad I'm never going back. Not even the slightest amount of crispy, so when I got home I put them in the air fryer and made them properly. Normally their teriyaki is delicious and plentiful, but not anymore. It's meh at best now. I'd say the meal portions have been cut in half for whatever reason. I can't justify paying premium prices for their food at all anymore. I wish I would have taken pictures so you could understand how bad it really was. ...

OmG the best tasting, great priced, oriental food in Midland. Large portions, standard 3 oriental entree "bed options"; Entree options - not too many, but just enough; 3 side options plus drink to make it a meal and a deal! Beef, chicken, shrimp, fish and vegetarian options for all entrees and sides. Everything cooked to order and cooked in front of customer. Sushi available. No desert options.
