Pagalo's Pizzeria & Gelato Cafe — Restaurant in Milan

I've had family in the cities my whole life and recently moved to Milan after a couple years in Silvis after growing up In Macomb. Trips to the cities ALWAYS involved pizza! When moved here, I made it a point to try all I could!💚 We are blessed with options! I have two go to's for QC style, and one for Chicago style.(one more i wanna try). My family loves pizza! Who doesn't? Momma was coming to visit. She happens to be my best friend as well, and of course the first topic of conversation is where are we going to eat? She left it up to me, but wanted Pizza! She wanted QC style. I chose Pagalos. I'd never been there but it's less than a half mile from me and I needed to put it on my list. NOT QC style! However,!!! OMFG! The crust... Light and crispy, but substantial. The sauce, flawless with a great garlic bite! The cheese. Oh the cheese♥️♥️♥️!!! Brick oven Pizza! It's a bit expensive. The service was good. Gelato is part of the name but it was never offered or suggested. I probably would have tried it. All in all...... Pagalos does their own thing. It's not like any other. And they do it well!...

I am so happy I found this place today after having a sudden attack craving for a margherita pizza. I would never have believed this place existed so close by and has been there for 25 years. I've lived in the QC for 4 years and haven't heard anyone mention it but when I got there around 4:30 on a Saturday, the parking lot was already almost packed. I sat at the bar and was waited on by the super kind Kendall who was helpful, quick and a joy to talk to. The pizza was delicious and exactly what I was craving with a little pepper and drizzle of olive oil over the top. The pistachio gelato was to die for. A perfect meal and experience and I can't wait to go back. Seems like the owners and staff have a great vibe and that is one of my favorite things when patroning a place. I can't believe we had never been here before. Talk about a well kept secret!! We had the cheese ravioli and the meat sauce was the BEST BY FAR that I had EVER tasted; we also got the Italian Station pizza OMG my mouth WATERS just thinking about it. I'm usually a veggie lover when it comes to pizza especially; but I will have trouble ordering anything else after tasting this pizza. The flavors made my tastebuds DANCE AND COME ALIVE in a way that I didnt realize pizza could do. That's only a small piece of what they have to offer. Not only do they have a wonderfully large area for family dining that is in FULL VIEW OF THEIR WOOD FIRE OVEN, but theres also a bar on the other side of the wall as well as a room for slots and darts!! U would not even know that the bar and games were even there if u didnt go for a walk around or been told so if theres anyone sensitive to either or u dont want your family around such things you have no worries with this...
