I eat out all the time at local restaurants and always give credit where it's due. I went last Friday for lunch with a family member (They were not busy). We ordered and quickly our food came out. The salad was lettuce, a little cucumber, three croutons, and two slices of tomato that wasn't yet ripe (I pushed those to the side). I asked for a little cheese to sprinkle on top (added cost of .75 cents). My main course was a mushroom swiss burger. The mushrooms were not fresh but mushrooms from a can or jar (yuck). The bun was far bigger than the burger patty. Fries were excellent. I guess what bothered me the most was our waitress. (Was she just having a bad day???) She never made eye contact. When she delivered our food, she also left our tickets. I asked for extra napkins, she delivered the napkins and to-go boxes. At this point I hadn't even taken but two bites. We never saw her again! I did take note on how she treated the table next to us that had an older couple. She was too very short with them and forgot entirely their salad and soup they ordered before their main meal. I guess in this case the restaurant name should not of been Welcome Inn but Welcome Out. Maybe better luck next time.... If I go. Lots of great places to eat at in the QC area. Also, they have recently updated their menu. Less to choose from with higher prices. I don't hold that against them as that is the norm for all restaurants...
Read moreWe have been going to this restaurant for years. Tonight we met family that was back in town after being at a hot baseball game. We weren't super hungry from being at the ball field all day but wanted to see family that was back. Everyone ordered food they got to us (me and 3 kids 12-13) so to big for kids meal, but dont eat an adult meal. 2 of the kids wanted to share a chicken Alfredo meal, my son wanted ribs but knew he couldn't eat a half rack. So I said that's fine I will piece off your ribs as I'm not real hungry. Got told from the waitress we can't share food. I asked to speak to owner whom I have known all these years and she said the 2 kids could share the Alfredo but they couldn't have salad bar (Salad bar is included in price). However I could not share ribs with my son. So I said I just wouldn't eat. I didn't touch one thing, and will honestly say I will never go back. They have lost our business. I constantly recommend them, but will no longer. We have had family gathering there but will no longer. The dictate what you can and can not eat. I was not gonna eat any salad, I was only going to eat 2 ribs of my sons. I didn't eat nothing so they couldn't...
Read moreWe come to welcome inn pretty often but the last few times it just hasn't been up to par like on the past. Tonight my daughter and I both got the Chicken strip dinners and the chicken was not huge pieces like usual and were covered in the cooking oil to where the oil was all over our plates. I ate one piece it was kinda rubbery but I just figured it was from all the unnecessary cooking oil. So I cut the second piece in half and it was undercooked. I spoke with our waitress she took our plates back to the kitchen and returned to our table and said that the man in the kitchen still wanted to charge us for the salad bar I did eat the salad bar so I didn't have a problem paying for that and my daughter didn't eat the salad bar or her plate of chicken and fries the waitress then said well I'll just charge her the appetizer price cuz I'm not going back there to argue with him so I was charged $14 for salad bar and then charged $13.50 for an appetizer when my daughter didn't eat anything but we still were charged $29 and some...
