Originally from the QC area and now live out of town. Definitely a restaurant I miss. Rating a 1 because of the absolute poor customer service I received. Ordered a gift card online for my nephew. First off, who doesn't have electronic gift cards in today's day and age? So ok you have to physically go pick it up. I added a note I was from out of town so my sister or brother in law could pick it up. I sent them the confirmation email and when my.brother in law went to order lunch and pay for it he showed the order confirmation number. The staff said they didnt even know you could order a gift card online and they didnt know what to do with it. He ended up paying for lunch because they couldnt figure out that the email confirmation with my name and order number matched an envelope in the back. When I called and spoke yo the manager of the store, Erica, she said she had an envelope on her desk with my name on it but she didnt know what it was because "they dont tell me what it is". First, your the manager, how do you not know the capabilities of your website? Second who doesnt tell you what things are and why are you so untrustworthy to be in the know? I asked if she could just mail my sister the gift card so they wouldn't have to be inconvenienced of stopping in again to which she answered, "I guess if I pay for it myself". Thanks sweetheart... if the .44 cents for the cost of a stamp is too much to ask, maybe you should negotiate a better manager salary. Or better yet talk to your regional manager on why the franchise can't expense 44 whole pennies. I told her I'd give her the addrsss so she could forward and clearly uncomfortable with this action she continued to press me "couldnt they come pick it up, its been sitting on my desk 3 weeks". Obviously if its been sitting there 3 weeks its not super convenient to swing in - I live 4 hours away which I mentioned and your store while closest in proximity to my sister is also not on her normal route. Frustrated I ended the call-- my sister is going to have to pick it up. I love the hobo sandwich but this was awful customer service. Erica needs to get some training or be replaced. Long time lover of this franchise but it just landed on my "they dont need my...
Read moreMeh! Hungry hobo has gone downhill! It has been for years and I don’t honestly know why I continue to go. Perhaps it’s because I’ve been a frequent flyer for decades here and when it’s fresh and good it’s really good. But more often than not you get what seems as though day old bread and the sandwich toppings aren’t any good. As is the case with todays visit. I spent $13 on a king sandwich and bottle of water. The bread wasn’t fresh and the tomatoes were rotten! I took a few bites and tried picking off the tomatoes but the nasty rotten flavor remained. So I threw my sandwich away because I was already to my next job site and couldn’t back track 20 min. Nasty gross products 75% of the time and I think this is my last trip! I’ll go to the other sub shops and not wast money on hobo! It’s a shame though because it’s a QC original and used to...
Read moreI love the Hungry Hobo franchise, but the Milan store is lacking. Timing the bread was not fresh at all. Dry and crusty. And if you look at my pics you can see the bread to meat ratio was horrible ! The left is turkey and the right is ham. Waffle fires were overcooked and given to another patron first. My potato never came so I had to go tell the worker and they had to make it. The potato was actually good because a lot of times at this location they are orange and sent way too long before being thrown out. I try not to go to this location if I can help it but it is the closest to my home. I have found that the location on Locust Street is usually the best. For almost $16 I think the food should be a whole lot better and more meat on the sandwiches. Also the bread should be soft not...
