Village Pizza & BBQ — Restaurant in Milford Charter Township

Just wanted to post a review regarding the quality of food we received for a catered party. This was our third graduation party we had catered chicken with Village Pizza over the years. The delivery person that came to our house was great, very polite and helped with pans of chicken. We order 100 pieces of chicken, a pan of chicken tenders, potatoes, breadsticks, salad and coleslaw. I opened the pan of tenders first they looked and smelled delicious. My husband paid the driver as I was setting up all the trays when one of the last trays I open was a pan of chicken. To my disappointment every piece in this pan was a real dark brown color and some burnt to a crisp! Then I thought thank god I have another full pan, I went to switch it out and that entire pan was also burnt. If it wasn’t for the fact that I had a lot of people to feed and my husband saying just don’t worry about it I would’ve called had the driver come back and pick this chicken up. In the end the tenders were all gone and very good but we had over a pan in a half (probably 75 pieces) of chicken left that nobody would eat. I know this time of the month is very busy with a lot of catering orders but can I suggest maybe you look at your product before it leaves your kitchen and if it’s not up to standard do not send it out. I would have much like a phone call saying we are going to be a little late with your order but wanted to make sure...

This past weekend we were in town and I read the reviews on this pizza place. I also checked out the menu online - HUGE! There was a group of us and all 5 of us got something different to try. Because we were from out of town we had to sit indoors. The seating was a little tight, but in the summer they have a patio which can hold much more dinning space. The service we received was excellent. The lady explained the options and all the locals coming to pick-up said you can order whatever on the menu and guarantee it will be the best tasting food you've had. That was quite a statement but also got me excited to try the pizza - I got a baby (personal 4 slices, good size) BBQ Chicken Pizza - YES YES YES! Probably the best BBQ chicken pizza I've tasted in a long time. Their fried pickle spears were nice and hot, Bosco sticks (never had them anywhere before - cheese filled bread sticks) good, My husband and friends got large calzones - they were huge! probably could feed 3 people per 1 calzone. each said they tasted great. I recommend anyone who is in town to try this place out - we sure will be coming back the next time...

The Village has great food at an affordable price but the staff and how they handle miscommunication is very unfortunate. I work at a local Milford business and order often, this has been the second time they've either forgotten something or given us the wrong items; tonight we ordered and of course there was a miscommunication with one of the cards being entered wrong and now dressing from a salad being totally forgotten. It's one thing to forget something but when I'm on the phone with your place of business and can hear the other employees in the background complaining about the mistake that was made on their end is unprofessional and inappropriate, so not only did I order a Caesar salad and get no dressing, that they "claimed" to put in the bag, I was given Greek dressing in place of the Caesar I actually ordered.
