The Burger Joint — Restaurant in Milford Charter Township

I don't go out to eat much. I have celiac disease, (an auto immune disorder which makes me allergic to gluten). I used to come here on a weekly basis and had all my bday parties as a child here before knowing about my allergy. I have not ben here in 3 years because I got a horrible stomach ache eating here last time. I decided to give them another try due to the nostalgia.

My wife and I ordered (2) burgers one of them a standard shroom burger, the other a basic burger with a gluten free bun. We received burgers with the buns on the wrong burger, which would have led to a hospital trip for me, had I not caught it.

My wife called and expressed the issue, the lady who answered seemed to think we could just swap buns (clearly they have no understanding of cross-contamination). They reluctantly only remade (1) burger, my gluten free burger. So, I had to return for a 3rd time for them to redo the shroom burger. They seemed irritated with me for their mistake. "well, I figured you could just swap the bun" she stated again... I spent $40 on 2 burgers and some fries. I expect the order how I ordered it. Swapping buns would include the wrong melted cheese and mayo that was on mine, to now be on her burger. Absolutely ridiculous to even suggest this! this is "THE burger joint"

The bearded chef clearly had an attitude over having to redo the order he couldn't do right the first time. The lady running the register clearly knows nothing about burgers. Insanely poor attitudes.

Great tasting food when they get it right. soggy buns when ordered to go. Its a burger majority of us can make it at home, charging $15-20 for a burger and not making it right and having an attitude when asked to remake it, is...

Huge shout out to the Burger Joint in downtown Milford!!!

I came in there this evening @ 545 with 5 children in tow and a Husband not far behind (he was parking the car). My family swooped into the quite place, in what can only be described as a whirlwind, all 7 of us in a hurry, hungry and with a schedule to keep. This stop was not planned but In a last ditch effort to feed the kids before 8pm, we thought we at least try.

Within seconds the cashier was swarmed by a frenzy of noisy preteen girls and our 6 yr old. I looked at both the cashier and kitchen staff and with slight desperation, I smiled and said,

“I need this order as fast as you can make it 😬”

The gentlemen behind the counter gave a smile and without missing a beat, he quickly took control of the situation, collected our order and even left it “open,” for my husband to order upon his arrival.

The others on staff were just as wonderful. The cooks quickly went to work making the food as the orders were placed. By the time my husband walked in, all the girls orders were up and we had to wait maybe an additional 1-2 mins for our burgers to be complete.

I sat down in the booth and in a panic, looked at my watch, (knowing if we were late to my daughters choir performance it would negatively affect her grade).... It was 6pm!

All seven of us had food a few minutes before 6!!!

Thank you Burger Joint for making my crazy night possible! Thank you for giving me and my family an opportunity to eat good food and take a breath before rushing out the door to the concert. We made it to our event, with a few minutes to spare and we couldn’t have done it...

Sign says "burgers and shakes". Sounds good, so we go in. Order a shake with our burger. "We don't have any ice cream". Really?!? A burger and shake joint that doesn't have ice cream? So I guess that a float is out of the picture too. They couldn't have gone down to the local Walmart or Costco and purchased 10-20 gallons of vanilla??? Would have opened up half their menu. So I order one of their special menu item Creamsicle drinks. She hands me an empty plastic cup and said "Go over to the pop machine and mix Fanta orange and Fanta vanilla"! I don't need an "up charge" for ordering a "special" drink that I need to mix myself. Ordered a menu item that was fries covered with gravy and cheese (sounded interesting (to me!)). They are out of cheese.

But okay, didn't want to make a scene, so I go over to the pop machine to mix my special drink. They were out of Fanta vanilla (ditto for Dr. Pepper vanilla)!

In my opinion, the burger selection is minimal (for beef anyway) and my burger wasn't anything to bring me back.
