Started buying her wholesale biscotti at my local Big Y and my family became obsessed her stuff- we had to hide the mandel biscotti from my mother because she wouldn't leave any for the rest of us. Recently stopped in at her bakeshop in Milford and was absolutely amazed by the smell of fresh goodies. I do not know how they are able to offer such a variety of fresh items. I did not think anything would be better than her biscotti but I boy was I wrong. First I saw the muffins and scones and was so torn on what to get because there were so many choices- I ultimately settled on a blueberry crumb muffin and an orange cranberry almond scone (massive- about the size of my head!). Then I saw her soft fresh baked cookies. At first I did not see any oatmeal raisin (which are my personal) but the nice young girl working the front end told me there were some fresh out of the oven. I also grabbed some pignoli cookies (a rare treat). Before leaving I noticed in the back there were two people baking and one of them happened to be Kathy. I waved to her and she came up front- she could not have been more lovely! She offered us coffee, muffins, etc. and at first I said no, but then I could not resist the looks of her fresh baked soft chocolate chip cookie. Let me tell you- every single item we brought home was beyond delicious. I am a baker myself and pride myself on my homemade muffins but these might have me beat. Also I am never big on scones (usually they are too dry) but hers were so moist and thankfully they were not overly sweet. But the real chart topper was the hot oatmeal raisin cookie. And I find that most fresh baked good never taste as good after the first 24 hours, but when we went to finish them off the next day they tasted as if we had just gotten them...
Read moreKathy did all of the desserts (Cookies, truffles) for my wedding recently! She was outstandingly helpful, very knowledgable and extremely patient with us as we made several changes throughout the ordering process! My husband and I have been going to Kathy's Cookies for years and just couldn't deny how much we wanted them at our wedding! Kathy prepared an amazing ensemble of MANY different cookies and truffles for our wedding! She even went out of her way to check the weather around our wedding location to see if dipping the cookies in chocolate was a good idea! She was amazing and I cannot recommend her enough, just for her extraordinary service. Now, with that being said, the cookies and truffles were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. This goes without saying, but they were a hit! Everyone loved them, and many guests even took some to go as treats! I cannot recommend her and her delicious cookies enough! Read moreToday, while I was in the area craving a sweet treat, I stumbled upon Kathy’s Famous Cookies—and what a find! As someone who’s a self-proclaimed chocolate chip cookie fanatic and a frequent traveler for work, I’ve visited my fair share of bakeries. But walking into this little slice of heaven was something special.
To top it all off, I had the pleasure of meeting Kathy herself! She was so warm and welcoming, and took the time to show me her beautiful creations—each one a true work of art. You can genuinely feel the love she pours into her craft.
I picked up a warm M&M cookie (absolutely divine), a classic chocolate chip, and a few cake bombs that were just out of this world. Every bite felt homemade, comforting, and made with heart.
Thank you, Kathy, for making my first visit so memorable. I sincerely hope I find myself back in the area—whether for work or fun—because I’ll be sure to stop by for another unforgettable sweet...
