Ice Shack — Restaurant in Mill Hall

Honestly, my experience here for the first time was absolutely terrible, but they have enough good qualities I had to give it 3 stars. Positives:the ice cream was delicious, the service was fast even though the line was extremely long, and the staff were very friendly. They even have a cute little ship play place for the kids. Negatives:they don't accept debit/credit, which we didnt realize until after standing in line and getting to the front, the place was practically swarming with bees and they would constantly follow you and get into your ice cream, so trying to eat there was almost impossible, and the ice cream was literally already dripping and melting all over as soon as they hand it out to you, you have to eat it at record speeds just to be able to enjoy it before it turns to soup.The prices also seemed a little high just for basic soft serve ice cream that they mix with different toppings. We spent almost $30 just for ice cream for 2 adults and 2 kids. Overall, my visit was more stressful than enjoyable, and I probably will not come back, but I would encourage others to try it out...

Seating inside and outside, with a playset for the children to play on. They are never open on Sundays, as the business is owned and run by Mennonites. This business is non-profit and helps support their boys camp mission.

Prices and portions are reasonable. This is a cash only business! Although inconvenient for some, it allows for a lower overhead not...
