I am surprise a restaurant owner can curse a customer. I only do research with popular restaurants, then visit them and tell the truth. The restaurants are from New York to Hawaii. No matter of their price.
The minute I look at their menu the first thing I notice the price has been doubled. Most of them are $10 added to the actual Chinese restaurant price. So why is their price considered expensive from my experience with so many restaurants? Please continue to read. That is fine, but is the food worthier or close to the price? It turns out, it is the worst Chinese food I have visited. Even the beef is cheaply and hard to bite. For their price you should expect they use USDA Graded Beef instead they use the cheapest ever. Even if they use worst beef they don't know they can use simple Chinese way by marinate the beef with baking solder to soften the fibers. The beef is not sliced but partly diced. That seems to be making it quick and easy. From my understand, they are not real Chinese chief like what I know. We also ordered a seafood, fish dish. Price doesn't matter to us, but it seems to matter to them because the fish not even cod fish. The fishes are not chief ready, but frozen ready. The cheap fishes are simple that mainly do not require much spices. The dish is full of oil and juices. If you notice, most of their dishes are diced vegetables and meat because that way is quick and easy. The last one is hand made noodles. It is not bad because it is a bit chewy. But comparing to Indonesian (Asia) and Korean and Taiwanese restaurants in San Jose, their texture and chewy has to better. Seriously, what I feel is none of their products for cooking are purchased at open markets but cheapest supermarkets. Also, all raw and live sea products are not purchased from a real fish market.
We 2 people order 3 suggested dishes (price doesn't matter) but upset our stomach! Instead, we go to another restaurant later on. By the way, my star is for their great Declaration. I wouldn't take pictures of the dishes I ordered. Well, I did ask for doggy bags may others for extenstense my review. so the restaurant look beautiful and have many awards, but understand this restaurant it makes me understand it's coking does not worth...

Usually, I order to go, but today I decided to dine it and relax between my shopping list. This place is always crowded, so I went around 2 p.m., knowing they would take a break between 2:20 to 5:30. I already knew what to order, so Wendy, a delightful server, came and helped me to find my table by the window. I ordered my chicken corn soup and Mongolian chicken with rice and, of course, with the hot sauce. This place's service is wonderful, too. Food came quickly and was very hot. Honestly, that was a lot of food for one person. I loved the soup and enjoyed it very much. Mongolian chicken is served cooked perfectly, and the onion is not too soft or overcooked, so one can enjoy the fresh crunch in their bites. Their hot sauce was a little different, but still, it was tasty. Chicken broth was delicious, place was clean, and the quantity of food for 3 ppl. I asked Wendy to pack the food to go and ask for their tea. Wendy is very efficient and kind. The wonderful restaurant is a very authentic Chinese food place. If you live in Millbrae or are going to the airport plz try their food. They are one of the best Chinese food in the peninsula. They are highly recommended on Google and Yelp. We've been going to this place for as long as I can remember. My favorite food on the menu is chicken corn soup. Also, I loved fried chicken chili with white rice. Service is speedy and very friendly. Our server smiles all the time and is a very friendly person. She greets you at the door and welcomes you thoroughly. This is a Michelin-starred restaurant, and people loved coming back again and again. You must try their. We've been going to this place for as long as I can remember. Read moreNot quite sure why this place is as popular as it is. We arrived before 6, and the place was already packed and had a hefty waiting list going. Despite there being around 10 groups ahead of us when we put our names on the list, we were seated within 30 minutes of arriving since most of them apparently decided not to stick around to wait it out.
However, whatever system they use to communicate with the kitchen and get food out to the tables seems to be extremely inefficient and inconsistent. We waited for an hour after we placed our orders before we got any of our food, and even then, our dishes came out sporadically rather than all at once. It took about 30 minutes for our last dish to come out after we finished with our first one. We basically only had one dish at a time to share at our table, which made for an awkward dining experience.
For the food, we ordered several dishes from the list of recommended dishes and were disappointed with the taste. We expected it to be "home-style" cooking given the origin of this restaurant, but everything tasted pretty ordinary--comparable to the stuff I'd cook at home for a quick meal (and I'm not a great cook). Their specialty smoked pork and meat sauce are honestly nothing special and aren't particularly well-executed either.
Portion sizes were on the smaller end. Prices are high even for the area. If you want to try this place out, maybe get the food to-go instead. The kitchen seems to prioritize those orders, and they seemed to come out relatively quickly. However, there are a lot of amazing Chinese restaurants in this area, and this one sadly doesn't live up...
