Sunday was my first time trying Mykonos and unfortunately, I will likely never return.
The cafe itself was really warm and comfortable. It was clean, had lots of space and offered different seating options. No napkins anywhere, but that was a very mild inconvenience.
It seemed that we were inconveniencing the staff by being there. They were not friendly or very inviting at all. I'm a customer service snob, but I also give quite a bit of grace since things happen... but we were their first customers.
I ordered a breakfast sandwich which was good and they did accommodate the egg whites vs egg w/yolk.
After breakfast when we were ready to go, we went up the pastry counter for desserts to go, because what's the point of going to a bakery and not buying desserts? Exactly. I ordered a chocolate bomb, a slice of cheesecake, and caramel brownie for my daughter at home.
The chocolate bomb had a horrible taste to it, as if it had been sitting there for days. The chocolate didn't taste like chocolate at all. The cheesecake was good until it was time for the most important part, the crust. It was mushy and had a clear stale flavor... I've had not so great cheesecake before, but they at least got the crust right. The brownie has yet to be eaten, but I don't have high hopes for it.
If you can ensure your desserts in the case are going to be fresh or at least still taste good by Sunday, maybe don't sell...

The sitting area was pretty empty except for one person. I would have thought more people would have been sitting in enjoying the ambiance. The two woman behind the counter where chatting with each other when we walked in but where very tentative to our arrival. We explained it was our first time and they replied with a happy take your time. We were amazed with the huge selection of bakery items. From cheesecake to baklava to cookies and brownies all made up special with something on or in them. We also ordered coffees and bagels. The bagels were awesome and the coffee was hot and tasted great. They even had this huge cookie cake in the freezer. We asked about it. They explained it’s a special order and they need 48 hours to make a special order. However due to thanksgiving they weren’t taking anymore orders. Their list was already filled. A little disappointed but 100% understand as I want them to have a great holiday as well. We almost forgot our bagels but they stopped us before leaving to remind us we haven’t taken them with us. If you’re looking for awesome pastries good coffee and friendly staff...
Read moreReally nice little bakery and coffee shop in the center of Millbury. I was pleasantly surprised after my first visit there and have been going back pretty frequently ever since. It's very clean, and actually has some nice little sitting areas. I did not take advantage of these due to the pandemic, but I can see how it's a nice spot to sit and relax.
On balance, the baked good/pastries are great. We did have a swing and a miss with the chocolate cake (it was a little dry and dense for my liking, more fudgey than cake), but anything with lemon as well as the caramel brownies have been great. You can also get some savory items like bagels and avocado toast (also very good). The coffee is Red Barn and tastes fresh. They have a bunch of different syrups for the coffee as well, and it's way better (in my opinion) than a Starbucks or Dunkin.
If I have one complaint, it's that the service is a little slow when they get really busy. It becomes a little bit disorganized. However, if you haven't checked out Mykonos and live nearby, I highly recommend dropping by and grabbing yourself a quick...
