Extremely rude staff here. It's an Italian restaurant and honestly, you can get the same quality Italian food in 100 places in Erie (this place doesn't taste better or worse than others). But what this place does have is an extremely rude waiting staff. My husband and I went here for a romantic meal and ordered some pasta and soft drinks. My husband ordered a Pepsi and I told the waiter I would have the same thing. He came back with my Pepsi but gave my husband a Diet Pepsi. We ordered the same thing so if he misheard us, I would have gotten a Diet too. So, the waiter didn't mishear us. My husband even mentioned to him that he ordered regular and the waiter never brought him the correct drink. I mean it was pretty obvious the waiter was gay too (might be wrong about that) but we honestly thought he would be accepting of us for that reason. Turns out he was just petty. Then he decided to start vacuuming the floor all around our table even though they were far from closing time and there were other customers getting served. So, it very much felt like we were getting chased out and the waiter was poking fun at our weight while we were there. Like I said, there are a hundred more places you can get the same food. What this place is unique for is...
Read moreWe love DINING IN at Valerio's. Their delivery service is another story. We ordered delivery on a Friday around 7:30pm. It took over an hour to get our food (we live very close by) and our food was FREEZING COLD.
Problem #1: I ordered a Vegetarian Sub, and luckily I'm not a vegetarian, just someone who loves veggies. There was a piece of bacon wrapped in the wrapper with the sub (touching). Now, if someone who didn't eat meat got that, they wouldn't have been able to eat it.
Problem #2: That sub was supposed to have been toasted...couldn't tell because it was cold. The other sub we got was not toasted, and you couldn't tell which was which by temperature.
Problem #3: I ordered a cup of Italian Wedding soup for my son. We did not get Italian Wedding soup; we got a random soup that I can only guess was some sort of chicken noodle. Only there was no chicken, no noodles...just broth & carrots. We called it ''carrot soup".
Problem #4: That "carrot soup" was also cold. So cold that that the soup had separated and the greasy fatty part had floated to the top. We had to microwave it.
Now, like I said. We love Valerio's. Just will never order delivery...
Read moreITALIANS BEWARE, NEVER EVER COME HERE!!! I looked up the most authentic Italian restaurants in Erie (just moved from Philly) and Valerios was in the top 5. I also saw this was a local chain so I tried it out. NO SAUCE ON ANYTHING! The sauce they use is something like RAGU and you can tell they do not use real cheese but shredded cheese from Family dollar. The garlic bread is just a sub roll cut in half and the bread is flaky (for everything). The pizza was cut into 16ths which is fine but I did not ask nor could I put it in the oven to heat it up. The pizza has 0 sauce and the cheese was hard and was not cheesy/melty. When i saw the Italian sub I was in disbelief. IT WAS HOTT. A SUB WITH COLD MEATS, LETTUCE AND TOMATOE WAS HOTTTTT. It was absolutely disgusting and I had to put it in the fridge. The chicken parm was all bread, thin chicken and once again no sauce. I really thought this was an Italian Restaurant and I was more than wrong. I wish I could give this restaurant 0 stars but it’s not even worth that. I don’t know how they have any business or how this is a local chain. ABSOLUTELY...
