Positives: I will drive 45 minutes just to get their blue raspberry, watermelon, and vanilla flavored cupcakes. Also the carrot cake, key lime, and chocolate with chocolate chips flavors are amazing. I usually get the mini cupcakes so I can have more flavors. The flavors are not too sugary. I leave most cupcake places feeling sick because of the sugar, but not here. They are so tasty.
Cons: Most of the staff I have met are very dismissive. When I get day olds that should be 20% off as advertised, they charge me full price. They ALWAYS mess up on my stamps. I even went back in once to reconcile their mistake and they basically blew me off. I know I shouldnāt be in a fit over trying to get my 10 stamps for a free cupcake but when it happens EVERY time I go in, itās so annoying. Iāve also gotten larger orders of 3 dozen or more and they still said I did not have enough stamps for a free-when my card already had stamps to begin with. Thereās only 10 stamp spots people! š¤·āāļø Phoned my husband in a cupcake rage the whole drive home.
Update: Still annoyed because thereās one gal that is rude, dismissive, and does not give appropriate stamps. Every time. Help your employees with customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy favorite treat while living in northern Washington was a Pinkabella cupcake. (They are divine and highly recommended. I'm currently in Utah and stopped in to check out the local cupcake shop to see if it would satisfy a craving. It didn't :(
The positives - friendly staff, cute decor, and loads of cupcake choices - in both regular an mini size. YAY! The cake portion of the cupcake was moist - even in the mini variety.
The downside - Although the frosting was buttercream (my favorite, and typically my favorite part of a cupcake) - it was extremely sugary, and not so buttery. Flavors tasted artificial. I had purchased a dozen minis in various flavors for myself and family. I sampled 4 different flavors over the course of the day - but ended up not finishing (and even spitting out) ALL of those I tried, except the chocolate madness (which had a yummy chocolate pudding or cream center that cut the sugariness).
I see that others really love them, so if you're into sweet cupcakes stop in and try for yourself. For me, I'll be keeping my eye out for another local shop to try... or for a future visit back to the Seattle area where I can enjoy cupcake perfection...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe cupcakes were just ok. This shop needs some serious customer service help, and from other reviews this is a consistent problem. I should have read this prior to my visit. I arrived with my 4 year old daughter to pick some cupcakes. There was a family seated that had already ordered but no other people. The woman was rather impatient with me even though I only asked which flavor coordinated with which cupcake and she just rudely gestured to her white board and told me they were posted. There were no signs next to the cupcake flavors so how am I supposed to know. She was very curt over a simple question. Over all one of the worst customer service experiences Iāve had in a long time. I can understand if a business is incredibly busy however this was not the case and she quite literally had nothing else to do. I will go to sweet tooth fairy next time. Iāve had much better service and the...
