I've eaten at the Chili's in Milledgeville twice in the past month and my visit two weeks ago was great. I got in, ordered my food, ate, and left in less than an hour. It wasn't busy at all, my food was delicious, and overall probably the best Chili's visit I've had in quite some time. I've eaten at close to a dozen different Chili's across the Southeast. HOWEVER, tonight, Thursday May 5, 2022 was a different story. They are obviously short on help as the Bartender, Lauren, was doing all she could do to hold down half of the house and play hostess as well. It was moderately busy, but not slammed, but I waited at the door about 10 minutes before being sat at the bar (I was alone). She quickly got my drink and food order and went back to doing all she could to take care of everything else. There were a few others working on the floor too, but from what I saw over my hour and 40 minutes there Lauren did by far more than anyone in the front of the house. My biggest complaint was she didn't look customers in the eyes hardly at all so getting her attention was very difficult. Truthfully I didn't catch her name during the visit and only found it out when it was on my receipt at check out. It also took her over 20 minutes to bring out the chips and salsa, but again I felt sorry for her and she was doing her best to stay above water. My food was pretty good tonight and enjoyed most of the trip other than it took nearly double the time as my last visit. The restaurant management there needs to do something to get an extra hand or two in there or give the existing workers a raise, especially Lauren who was working the bar area tonight and really was a big part of keeping things going and it not turning...
Read moreIf I could rate my experience lower than a 1, I would. I came in with my family, party of 4. The hostess didn't even acknowledge we were standing there. We were the only ones there. Her job is to smile, greet people, and find them a seat. Evidently, this was too difficult. I had to ask how she was doing before she spoke to us. She never asked how many people we had or even attempted to seat us. We all stood there awkwardly for a couple of minutes. It was at this point that we should have walked out, but I thought maybe she was new and trying to find us a table because she was staring at the tablet with seating. Then, a waitress came over and had an even more awkward exchange with her, telling her firmly through gritted teeth that she needed to go to the back and ask "them" if they could seat us, which was strange, but okay. We probably should have walked out then, but whatever. The hostess walks to the back for a few seconds, comes back and says that there would be a wait. I had to ask her how long, and she said it would be 10-15 minutes. We said okay, and sat down to wait. About 5 minutes later, another group of 4 people walks in, talks to the hostess for a second, and she takes them back to seat them. This was the point where we finally walked out. We thought they had no tables open, but they did. I guess we just weren't the right kind of people for some reason. I'll never attempt to...
Read moreI placed a to-go order online at 2:00 PM. Food was suppose to pickup at 2:18 and I didn’t leave the restaurant until 2:30. Staff was not very well trained on how to ring out order that requires redeeming the free drink offer with the rewards program. Fries were cold and sort of mushy. They put some kind of green, cilantro sauce on my sandwich that isn’t even suppose to come on the sandwhich. I went back and checked on the website to make sure it wasn’t my mistake, and it wasn’t. I added mustard but the only other thing that should of been on it sauce wise was regular mayo. The turkey on the sandwhich had hard, rubbery edges, which was so gross and unappetizing and the tomato slice was mushy and cut from the top, so it had a big, hard brown spot in the center. They should of discarded that slice when they cut the tomato. The restaurant was so dirty and just looked nasty. I had never been the the location, but I was awarded a gift card so I figured I would grab a quick lunch before picking my kids up from school. The only thing I ate was my side of potato soup and I really didn’t have an appetite to eat that after seeing the restaurant and the issues with the other food but I was very hungry and needed something to hold me over until I could get some proper food from...
