Traveling to Berlin & decided to run through this coffee shop. I ordered a iced coffee with a splash of half-and-half and pumpkin. My husband ordered a black coffee, And my son order a coffee with lots of caramel and cream and sugar. The lady taking our order was super sweet. Although she stated she did not drink coffee and had a hard time taking our order. When the lady handed us our drinks, she asked me if I wanted extra cream for my iced coffee. I said no that I typically just get a little bit of half-and-half. She insisted and gave me a little side cup of cream.. I completely understand why she did that. The coffee was absolutely horrible. We love coffee and frequently visit little shops. There was no flavor besides a strong strong bitter flavor in the iced coffee. My husband who drinks black coffee from anywhere would not touch his after one drink. And my sons was very bad as well he said he tasted no sweetener at all. ( he ordered his with a lot of cream sugar and caramel) i’m not sure if it was a bad day or what. We would have turned around but we had two young children in the car and needed to keep going. Hopefully it was a bad batch or the barista was just having a off day. Seems like a lot of other...
Read moreWe found this gem by chance while passing through Millersburg. My wife and I are pretty wary of coffee shops out here, but the customer photos and the number of people walking inside were encouraging. In the end, I’m glad that we stopped.
Any time I try a new coffee shop, I order a cappuccino to get a feel for the quality of the coffee and the skill of the baristas. Here, both are good. The milk was textured nicely and the drink was well balanced. The folks here really do care about both their coffee and customers- this was the first time outside of the PNW that I was asked if I wanted my cappuccino wet or dry. My wife’s cold brew was nicely extracted and had a clean, refreshing flavor.
The only reason why I knocked off one star is because the coffee itself lacked complexity. It wasn’t bad by any means, but the beans they source seem to be a bit underwhelming. This shop deserves every rave review it receives, and I think the only difference between this place going from great to amazing is their choice of coffee.
Overall, I’ll stop every time I go through the area, and I look forward to seeing what this shop becomes. It really is the best coffee shop in Millersburg, and I hope the locals...
Read moreA hidden gem with heart and history. Broken Grounds Coffee Company isn’t just a coffee shop—it’s a community hub with soul. I walked in expecting just a caffeine fix, but left feeling genuinely refreshed, both by the drink and the vibe.
You can tell this place was built with intention. The staff greet you like friends, the décor is warm and welcoming, and the coffee? Smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. I had a vanilla oat milk latte that hit all the right notes—balanced, cozy, and just sweet enough.
Backstory bonus: I learned from one of the baristas that the shop was started by locals who wanted to create a space for people to reconnect—both with each other and with themselves. It shows. Whether you’re here to study, meet up, or just breathe, this place delivers.
Pro tip: Try their seasonal specials (the maple cardamom latte was a dream!) and grab a seat near the window for a peaceful moment...
