Stopped in for a drink and lunch on a weekday. We were able to be seated quickly and look over menus. Typical bar type food sandwiches, wings, bbq, salads with some nice additions like pierogi, pot stickers, humus plate etc. on the menu. We got a beer and a water. Oddly the waitress told us we had to get our own water from a dispenser at the end of the bar? The beer was excellent and was well done. Highly recommend. The water had a bit of an odd taste but this may have been due to the dispenser it was in.
Ended up getting the black bean burger (Black bean burger topped with red pepper aioli, served with cheese, and lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles) with fries and the Banger bowl (burnt end brisket brats served with pierogies, topped with beer cheese, caramelized onions, warm butter sauce & jalapeños). The waitress questioned the black bean burger and kept asking what I wanted on it and was confused when I listed the menu description.
The Banger Bowl was really good. Mrs T's pierogi but everything tasted great when mixed together almost like a Polish nacho! The black bean burger on the other hand was horrific. Clearly frozen, store bought, and microwaved. Devoid of flavor, texture, and was a bit bitter. The aioli was thin and flavorless, seemed an odd choice as well. If you are going to offer this as an option, you need to rethink and add a nice sauce or something with flavor like bbq etc. to help. The fries were very good though.
My only other note was the service was painfully slow with only 2 other tables. The waitress would disappear into the back for 10-15 mins at a time and could be heard but not seen. Not a place for a quick eat, our small meal from ordering until cash out was 72 minutes.
Overall good for beer and bar food if you have some time to hang...
Read moreMy husband and I and another couple came here to kick off our weekend getaway. Got seated pretty much right away and they had a band so we were pretty excited. Not overly crowded so that was nice too. The band was awesome but was so loud we really couldn't talk to each other but that's fine because hey its a band but wish they would have asked if we wanted seated in the room or if we wanted somewhere else. Our waiter came to take our order but didn't not tell us anything about how to order a flight or anything. (My husband and I have never been to a place like this so we had no idea how to order.) The couple we were with had to explain what to do. Got our drinks and I ordered a different drink and ordered our food. My husband got the Boss Hog and ordered it plain which he ment not all the extras they put on it and I got the Rosie's Pasta with Shrimp. Sounded great because it had mushrooms tomatoes spinach and came in a butter sauce. And of course shrimp. Our food came out and my husbands sandwich did not have any BBQ sauce on it but hey his mistake because ordered plain but the meat was very dry. My pasta came out and it was like a soup. There was absolutely no flavor to it and was actually pretty terrible. Tried putting salt and pepper on it to try to help it. It did not work. I will admit I ate The shrimp out of it because I was starving and ended up eating the rest of what my husband didn't eat. The waiter did not come back to check on us until he brought the bill. Did not ask if we wanted anything else or how everything was. We were all highly disappointed and will most likely...
Read moreWe unfortunately never got to try anything at this place, we walked out. We came in several months ago on a trip to the area. The place looked cool on the outside and the menu looked awesome online. We are always down for a good craft brewery! Unfortunately, when we walked in, we were not greeted by anyone. We got stared at by the few staff members in the place as we took a seat at the bar with no greeting or at least a smile. Mind you it’s a Friday night during the summer when places like this should be packed and there were only a few occupied tables and one other person at the bar. We sat for several minutes at the bar as the bartender stood there with his arms crossed and did not even greet us. A few minutes later, we finally got “acknowledged” (he didn’t say a word), just threw menus down in front of us and walked away. We were very polite still and said thank you even though we had been treated like this for no reason. After another few minutes, with no further acknowledgement, we just walked out and decided not to get anything here. This is the only place I’ve ever been where the staff has been so unfriendly that it left us to leave. From what I’ve read of other reviews, it seems like customer service is severely lacking here and I can definitely see why. Maybe we didn’t miss out on much after all. It’s a shame because this place looked like a nice change of pace for the area, but I hope they can find better staff that actually cares about...
