My wife and I have not been out for a date since our marriage Sept. of 2020. We had the opportunity to have a day to get away. We decided to take a trip to Amish country and as we were approaching the Amish country area, we found ourselves anticipating lunch as we were both hungry. We found Grover's at Hotel Millersburg restaurant on the web. May I express that upon our arrival we were greeted courteously , friendly and respectfully!!! It had appeared that the restaurant was short staffed but nonetheless the waitresses which totalled 2 and the chef were amazing!!! Please allow me to explain!! My wife has a severe allergy to soy products. When we first sat down, we expressed our concern about this issue with the waitress, ( reminder , they were just 2 waitresses) she had expressed her concern about this issue as well and shared with the chef the concern. The chef then had approached our table and had changed a few ingredients to accommodate my wifes order to assure us that she would not experience an allergic reaction. I must say that I and my wife were quite impressed with the food , service and a price that was unbelievable! Truly a great restaurant and service that is very much respected and appreciated!!!! We will definitely be back!!!! The greatest restaurant that I and my wife have ever had the privilege to eat at!!!! Very much a 5 star experience!!!! Thank you very much to all...
Read moreSo we get to the restaurant and right away there was no hostess to seat us. (Keep in mind there we're only 5 tables with people in them) the waitress kept making excuses for the chef and 10 minutes later she finally got our drinks. When she got back we ordered and the waitress came back only twice in an hour span while we waited for the food. Then the food finally came out and my $15 chicken with waffles was 3 shriveled up tenders about the size of my daughter's pinky sitting on top of one waffle. We were missing half of the order my mother in laws chicken was under cooked so she couldn't eat it. Also they forgot to put the chicken on her pasta. They forgot my fries. My wife's rice had enough salt on it to pay Roman soldiers with in the first century. After swallowing hard and chasing it with a gallon of water. We managed to somewhat finish our food. We then asked one of the staff for the bill and I looked outside and saw our waitress smoking a cigarette BSing with her other co-workers. At that point we finally had enough and not being comped for any of the meal we left unsatisfied.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!! Instead go visit the Millersburg brewery and get much better...
Read moreJust left the restaurant and are so disappointed with the new place. Although it is beautifully restored, everything else was awful. We went for lunch. They were out of sidewinders(a big part of the menu), soda machine not functioning and no side salads offered. The Tuscan chicken fold over was the thinnest piece of chicken I’ve ever seen and was served on a cheap mini hoagie roll, not ciabatta fold over (which is in the title of the sandwich). The Wild mushroom burger was served on a white bread sandwich bun, not a brioche bun. And was so greasy that the cheap bun was served soggy and immediately fell apart. And the worst thing was the waitress was so unenthusiastic and rude we felt as if we were intruding on her time. She never asked how our meal was or if we wanted desserts/drinks, just put our food and bill down then walked away and went back to her cell phone. Worst service we’ve ever had there and we were literally, the only customers in there. We’ve been coming to Millersburg Hotel for many years and have seen the many changes to the restaurant After this visit, we...
