Heard some good things about their coffee and drinks, and it was pretty good. Just a touch too sweet, but not obscenely sweet like many places make their drinks. Not my favorite in the area, but better then most of the other coffee shops within a 30 minute drive, and lightyears beyond Dunkin'.
My problems were the pricing and the accessibility. I'm more than willing to support small / local businesses. I'm also willing to pay more for small businesses with good products, but I'm getting tired of being gaslit into thinking it's appropriate for small businesses to charge insane prices. We paid 15 dollars for two medium drinks from their specials menu. That's so much more expensive than not only every other local place, but places like Starbucks(Who are fairly well known to be pricey) as well.
Wheelchair accessibility is also an issue. Old buildings are not required to be accessible, but wheelchairs could easily get inside the cafe with two aluminum ramps that are easily ordered from Amazon for less than 100 bucks each, it would also be a complete tax write-off. They would last for years to come and employees could easily put them down in seconds. Historical buildings (like Penn's Tavern built over 300 years ago) use these to great affect.
Again, the coffee was pretty good. Just not worth $15 while sitting in the middle of the sidewalk for 15 minutes while someone else ordered...
Read moreI live 58 minutes from this cafe and let me just say my family and I decided to be regulars. There is absolutely no food or coffee made quite like it is here at Peace of Mind Cafe. This will have to be a weekend thing! The employees are so kind. I knew right when i looked at that store-front it was gonna be an awesome time. I'd like to say I had REAL CHICKEN in my food, everything made is from scratch. Everything is fresh and i can't stress enough how cool that is coming from an area that doesn't have resteraunts that care so much about their crowd! Peace of mind makes everything with high thought for their customers and their experience. If you are looking for coffee that is out of this world try the Cherry Garcia. Wraps and quesadillas are A1. keep your eyes peeled for Saturday entertainment's as well! I am so happy a cafe like this exists closer to home! support your local live musicians and artists alike!...
Read moreThis is one of my regular spots. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming and it has been amazing getting to know each member of staff by becoming a regular. The food is never a miss, always something on the menu that I can eat and enjoy. The specials are always on the mark and add an extra excitement to walking through the door. The drinks menu is always vast, whether you want something with or without coffee, hot or cold, there is a wide selection to choose from and the constant change to the drinks board with the seasons or holidays come as a welcome surprises. The atmosphere goes above and beyond, helped by the amazing artwork and decorations that tell an abundance of musical enjoyment and love. The late openings on Fridays, matched with the occasional open-mic nights is a great time to sit with loved ones and strangers, eat good food and enjoy soulfully...
