Ott's Tavern — Restaurant in Millstadt

This is the most disorganized restaurant I have been to in a number of years. I got there and set down at a table at 8 pm, There was only 2 other tables occupied besides mine. Other people came in and the waitress took my order last at about 8:20. I told her that I got their before the other people. Everybody else got their food and I am still waiting. I asked the waitress where is my food. She said she will check on it. After a few more minutes I walked over to the kitchen and asked the one in charge where was my food. It took about 45 minutes and the only reason I got my order as I had to go to the kitchen and find that they lost my original order.

From where I was sitting I could see into the kitchen. For that 45 minutes I could see 5 or 6 people not doing anything - just standing...

The fish, fries and slaw are excellent---just like in the past! The service is excellent, and the new owner has already made improvements to the property--like the paved, stripped parking lot, and enhanced courtyard. More improvements are coming; but, the most important thing is the food--and especially the FISH! It is as crisp and flaky and flavorful as ever! Done just right, and ample servings. The fries are crisp, and not greasy. The slaw is very good, and not swimming in sauce. They even have the same "sauce" to go with the fish and fries, as well as ketchup and tartar sauce, The new owner and his staff are very friendly, efficient and accomodating! Our family and friends are hooked on Ott's, and intend to visit them OFTEN,...

They raised the price of a fish sandwich. It cost $8.00 now. I have been going to this fish stand since 1978. The quality of food has worsened in recent years. This afternoon they handed me a cold sandwich with 3 small pieces of fish. I took one bite, it was cold, then the second bite, it was cold and really salty. I took it back, they wanted to charge me a $1. for two bites of a foul tasting fish sandwich. Rude, stupid, lousy run business. Last summer I couldn't order food because the volume of noise coming from a musical bad. I AM DONE WITH THIS MESSED...
