Do you recall the epic scene in one of the "Lethal Weapon" movies where Joe Pesci's character explains why you should never order at the drive-thru window because, "THEY ALWAYS F-YOU AT THE DRIVE-THRU"?
Francesco's follows the same model, don't make the mistake of ordering delivery!
We received a delivery order and realized not everything was included. Called the restaurant and was told "we are too busy filling large orders to send someone to deliver the rest of your order". How rude is that? They certainly were not "too busy" to take our order, or our money, in the first place. What kind of customer service or loyalty is that, to be told that you just don't matter? When we asked again simply to have them complete the order, they just hung up the phone.
The food is decent - not great, but decent. But the customer service leaves something to be desired.
There are, in tiny Milltown alone, no fewer than five pizza restaurants. There are dozens of others in the radius of a few miles. If you are spending your hard-earned money, do you want to deal with people who just take you for granted and treat you like you are worthless?
The worst thing about it all? I gave the kid who delivered a $10 tip on a $30 order. You can see the reward I got from trying to be a decent guy. Enjoy it, because I'll starve before I ever spend a cent at...
Read moreIf you desire really tasteless food, pasta clumps, cold food that is supposed to be hot, and wrong orders, then this is your go to place! I will not be ordering from Francesco Pizzeria again. There are soo many better places in the area.
I ordered the following: Chicken Alla Andrea Lunch special w/ capellini in olive oil & garlic. I paid extra for the pasta. It was literally full of clumps, and completely tasteless. The “Alla Andrea” portion simply was flavorless. The chicken was just about 1/8” thick and it was actually quite hard to cut. The sauce was supposed to be a roasted garlic sauce, but it was a simple marinara with no roasted garlic. It tasted like it was directly from a can of unsalted tomato puree. I ordered two Isabella Chicken Wraps. That really was a mistake. I asked for no spinach or mozzarella and to sub tomatoes and onions. The roasted red peppers and balsamic vinegar that were supposed to be in the wraps were completely missing. They were also delivered completely cold. The chicken, although cold and unseasoned, was surprisingly tender. The salad that comes with the lunch special is comprised of iceberg lettuce, a few tiny pieces of diced cucumber and tomatoes, and a sprinkle of shredded carrots. The Tiramisu was the only decent item ordered. It most likely was purchased through a third...
Read moreBe aware that the regular cheaper menu pricing is not on their website. We figured we would try them out again for pizza. When I go on their website, the menu prices that are displayed is through Slice . I figured it was their normal pricing and didn’t realize it. I did order through slice which I know could be a little more expensive, but what I realized from a friend is there regular menu prices are much cheaper!! You should be displaying your regular menu online so that way, you could see what the difference is if you call in an order or order thru slice. I didn’t have a paper menu. Also this is the 3rd or 4th time we’ve tried them and all times pizza was floppy and uncooked. I even put the pizza in the oven for 10 minutes And it was still very doughy. The taste of the pizza is amazing though, !!!! Another time during Covid we had a table outside yet they put the pizza directly on the ground. Why ? I’ve tried to give them a chance because we have some friends that really like it there, but I don’t think it...
