Jalapeno and Cilantro Grill — Restaurant in Milltown

We LOVE Jalapeno and Cilantro! Since they first opened, they have been absolutely wonderful and we have seen no drop-off in any aspect, even as they have become increasingly busier and well-known in the local area.

Service: the staff here are so friendly and accommodating. They check in on your table at just the right cadence throughout your meal service and have always made sure to manage the allergens or dietary needs of our table.

Food: The food options are great! They have some traditional diner staples (pancakes, waffles, french toast, egg platter combos, etc.) along with some great Latin American offerings (enchiladas, burritos, etc.). The portioning is awesome - I never leave feeling hungry and we usually bring home leftovers. The value on the pricing is also incredibly favorable for customers. The standouts from our past dining experiences are the french toast, the hola combo, the breakfast burrito, and their tostadas.

Atmosphere: We love how joyful the atmosphere is every time we come! They regularly decorate for every occasion and holiday and keep the space clean and tidy. The amount of seating is modest so it can get crowded quickly during busier meal times but they turn the tables over in a reasonable amount of time.

My favorite spots to frequent when dining out is mom's and pop's spots and my dream is to open one. Most of them have their blood, sweat, tears and passion poured into the place and food. I haven't gotten excited about an establishment in a long time because I get easily turned off when the place is dirty or the FOH act like they don't want to be there and take it out of the customers. Also the quality of the food has been lackluster and portions are like kid's portions. But let me tell you now!!!...I'm excited 😊 I just happened to be driving around and stumble upon this gem. Jalapeño & Cilantro Grill in Milltown on Milltown road. Everything they're doing is exactly the way I would do it. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, the food is priced right, the portions are fair and the food is flavorful. I just called my friends and family to check it out and now I'm on Facebook to share it with you all. They close at 4 pm but on Friday and Saturday until 8pm and they serve breakfast!! I miss my diner/deli days and this place brought back a flood...

At the time of writing this review, they have been open for maybe 2 months. This place was a surprise hit in town and once you go there, it is easy to see why. The owner and the employees all work very hard and deliver excellent and pleasant service. They're happy to offer recommendations, answer questions, and will check in on you to see how you're doing without being overbearing. The food is the star of the show, being both delicious and surprisingly big portions for their prices. They have become a regular spot for my family when we feel like getting Tex Mex takeout for dinner.
