I have been eating here for years. 100% family ran Mom and pop restaurant!!! Yes the plants/decor are primarily plastic and dated, yes they have kids running around in the dining area (they are kids, they will be kids no need to lose your mind over them). All in all it has its own 'charm' and the family that runs it are genuinely polite and good people (yes I've even experienced an occasional indifference from them instead of smiles, but who is happy all the time....)
The food is great, especially their Hot and Sour soup!! I have yet to find anyone who makes anything near its quality, trust me I've tried literally 30+ different restaurants to see if they could beat it. Do yourself a favor and ignore all of the off the wall hateful reviews and pickup some food to go!
Update: New owners! The hot and sour soup is now not even in the top 10 I've had 🤪😢. They seem more personable but it feels more like 3 out of 5 now. The quality of the food is the same but the recipes are not, to include even simple things like chicken and broccoli, and I find that mildly depressing as I was a big fan of almost everything they served as my taste buds enjoyed the old stuff more. Oh, and they tossed a crap ton of stale AF fortune cookies in the bag (just...
Read moreThe only positive I can say about this place the give large portions, and that's why they get 2 stars instead of 1. I ordered takeout. When I placed my order over the phone I told her several times "small lo mein and small honey chicken", I ended up getting charged and receiving a large of both. The chicken wasn't like any other honey chicken I've ever had from Chinese restaurant in my life. It was the kind of chicken that comes with the sweet and sour sauce, but drowned in honey and sesame seeds. It was terrible! I actually had a stomach aches all night. The biggest reason why I will never order from here again, THEY ARE SO RUDE!! Like unbelievably rude. She also ignored and hung up on me when I kindly asked her to review my order to me. Practically threw my bag at me when I picked it up. Ask anyone who orders from there and they will agree, their...
Read moreChina Garden is takeout only. I ordered the combination meal Moo Goo Gai Pan. That included fried rice and an egg roll. I called my order in, they gave an estimate of 20 minutes, and when I arrived 20 minutes later it was hot and ready.
It is a busy business. Someone was getting their order when I arrived and there were more meals being prepared with the phone ringing as I was paying for my order.
The food was typical carry out Chinese food. The egg roll was okay - but it was hot and crispy. Fried rice didn’t have egg, which was fine with me. There were a lot of veggies and chicken - definitely not skimpy. The takeout container was...
