Update 1/23/2022. To be 100% fair with the business, the 2nd owner called me a few days later to apologize for what had happened and offer me a gift card for the inconvenience. It's a small gesture that makes a big difference from a customer perceptive. I'm updating my review from 1 star to 4 star.

I rarely give 1 star review. I still can’t believe the owner refused to refund me $16 for a 12’’ pizza I never received. Long story short, when my wife arrived home with the take-away order I made over the phone, the 12’’ pizza was missing. I called Mondo, expecting to be refunded for a pizza I never received, and the lady who picked up the phone (the owner) refused to do it. I found myself in an argument for $16. She had an excuse over excuse why she won’t give me any refund: “ I was assuming your wife knew what you ordered”. No, she didn’t. “I told her to wait as there is another item”. No you didn’t. In fact, you didn’t even look at her, you just gave her the check. “Maybe she couldn’t hear as it was load”. Maybe. And if you know it’s load in your restaurant – why didn’t you double check she heard you. “ The pizza cost us money to make”. Wow, and it didn’t cost me nothing?? etc’ etc’. In other words, it is your problem, Mr. customer, I was not able to communicate with your wife when she picked up the order. Zero accountability, integrity and customer care.

I don’t usually take the time to review restaurants, but this experience was so bad it deserves to be shared with potential patrons. We came here for dinner with 4 adults and 3 children and were seated immediately as the place was completely empty aside from one other table of 2. We even called ahead to check on the wait and make sure they could serve us as it’s dinner time on a Saturday. We placed an order for drinks and appetizers along with 2 kids meals since we knew our hungry children would need food quicker. Everything came out very fast and the food was actually pretty good. We then waited over an hour and never received any of the 4 adult entrees. We had wait staff coming to “clear the table” and had to remind them we had not yet eaten. We were told the food was “almost ready and would be right out”. After another half hour and grumpy bored children we asked for the check and to take our “almost ready food to go”. Upon receiving the check, we continued to wait and wait until we couldn’t anymore. We requested our remaining food order to be cancelled and voided. The food to begin with is massively over priced and after we essentially walked out without dinner we still were given no discount. Terrible, terrible service. We called ahead and asked if they could handle our party of 9(two families). They said yes. They had one party in the adjacent private room (15) when we arrived but the dining area was empty. Waited 50 minutes for the first appetizer to arrive. (Two meatballs) Was told the kitchen was “overwhelmed.” Was told the rest of the food would be “right out.” 20 minutes later. Nothing. The restaurant was at less than 20% capacity. The wait staff seemed fine; clearly the kitchen is the issue. What kitchen takes an hour to make a meatball for a mostly empty restaurant? One hour and 19 minutes after we were seated the second plate arrived. And then several dishes including a plate of severely dry and over cooked salmon and one “blackened pizza”, otherwise known as burnt. After one hour and 35 minutes after arrival our table had still not received all its orders. Yes, watching the clock had become our entertainment as we waited for food. And then a few dishes were served to the table behind us who arrived well after we did. Ultimately a couple of dishes were missed and they took those off the bill. We have been here a few times over the past several years. It has never been the fastest restaurant. But this was beyond awful. They did apologize at the end, but doubt we will...
