Milton Tavern — Restaurant in Milton

My family and I stopped in for food @ 7:55pm . I saw the waitress and the manager looking at us through the window. The minute we walked in we were greeted at the door with several excuses as to why they couldn't serve us. Although 2 people walked in just before we did and we saw several others eating. The manager said the kitchen was closed due to construction. Then said they shut it down early because they ran out of food. I told him I went online to book Reservations and the hours were til midnight. He said the website was out dated and hadn't been maintained. I noticed the holiday hours were updated on Google. The same place I saw the operating hours. Then I had someone to call to place a togo order just to see if my hunch was right and they took the order after we left. Hmm. It's 2022 and DESCRIMINATION is still very prevalent. Maybe serving 6 people was a bit to much for the lazy staff. Or serving a Our Kind was an issue. 🤔 However I wish I could give this place a -10! It was supposed to be a celebration dinner and they ruined it with their nasty attitude and lies! We went to a nearby place spent a few hundred dollars and tipped...

After a stellar, 5 star review, see below… I am now at a 1-star. As happens all too often, after 2 fantastic visits to Milton Tavern, today’s visit was a complete disaster. Our server was nowhere to be seen, another server took our drink order which never came, and after sitting there for 10+ minutes we left. I suspect the staff has turned over with kids off to college and boy was today a hot mess. I told the manager who said ‘sorry’ and left it at that. Won’t go back. Horrible service!

Pleasantly surprised! Was doubtful in many ways including what they did with the interior having eaten at the restaurant that was at the location prior to the Milton Tavern opening. From the moment we walked in until we left, impressed! Great job in the interior overhaul, wonderful folks, excellent service (our server was Lacey), fast with everything from drinks (my wife ordered the hibiscus breeze and thought it was fantastic), to appetizers, to entrees - really well done and coordinated. We had a few appetizers and a couple entrees, thumbs up across the board. Will be going back and highly recommend you give...

Had to add how delicious the French onion soup is on a cold night. It totally hits the spot. I got to talk to the amazing manager Maddie last night and she always makes you feel like family. She and Rivers have the best staff in the area and you'll notice the difference when you dine here regularly. It is definitely our Cheers where we know everyone and always feel welcome. Definitely check it out for delicious food and great service.
