I try to find a new pizza place every year on my birthday for New York style. This one had great ratings and we needed a gluten free option too so we went. When we walked in, we quickly realized it was more of a takeout place with just a few tables, but we decided to stay anyway. There was a young girl at the register that was very pleasant but new and didn’t know much about pizza and there was a young teenager eating pizza. He went back into the kitchen and he was the cook. They were out of gluten-free so my husband had to order wings and salad which was a bit of a disappointment. My son ordered a calzone, but we were told it was the Cook’s first time ever making one and it came out looking like what the cashier called a boomerang and she offered to make another one, but he had already been waiting at least 20 minutes for his food while we were finishing hours so he just ate it. In fact, the wings came out first, so my husband was almost done with his dinner by the time my pizza came out and we were both nearly done with our dinner by the time my son’s calzone came out. It was just a very disjointed unprofessional experience. The food was just OK. The crust on the pizza had absolutely no flavor, there was barely any sauce and maybe four mushrooms on each slice. The dough was extremely thin and soggy. Even the Diet Coke in the fountain was sputtering and out of syrup so we got a bottle at which time we realized it was a Christmas bottle and saw that it was long expired. We got another one and then realized that every Diet Coke in the refrigerator was expired, so the girl pulled them all out while we were there. We were told they’ve been in business for nine months, but I have no idea how they have a 4.8 rating!!! Maybe they were just having a bad night or they were...
Read morewhen we walked in we were immediately greeted with huge smiles and the owners were joking around with us. I already liked the place without even ordering because of how clean the restaurant was and how sweet the people were. We ordered three pizzas (buffalo, alfredo and turkish) and they were all amazing. The wings were perfectly crisp and juicy. Overall 10/10 experience and we cant wait to come back to try more of their many menu choices and laugh with the owners. I would 100% recommend this place. Oh and they also gave complementary homemade authentic turkish baklava and it was so fresh...
Read moreAbsolutely Delicious! As someone from New York, I can confidently say this is by far the best New York–style pizza in Georgia—hands down! If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and give it a shot.
For the bold eaters out there, check out the Special Menu. I went with a half Veggie Alfredo and half Cheese pizza, and wow—it was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Every bite was packed with fresh, mouthwatering flavor, made that very day by the owner himself.
It doesn’t get better than that. Thank you, Pera Pizza NY Style, for an unforgettable (and delicious) experience. Until...
