Buddy's Pizza & Steak — Restaurant in Milwaukee

They burnt the first pizza and decided not to call me. I waited another thirty minutes past the expected delivery time to give them the benefit of the doubt; thinking that the driver could be backed up. Since i was unaware of the fact that my pizza was burnt instead of being delivered to another resident, I called for an inquisition on the matter. The man who picked up, whom I ascertain is the owner due to his authority and decision making, said something along the lines that he would bake another pizza if I could pick it up. He also stated that he would waive the delivery fee and provide a free soda for the incovienence. This was almost to closing time, and according to the man on the phone the drivers were all out delivering orders. I could have waited another 40 minutes for another pizza to be delivered; mind you, I still thought that my pizza somehow found another home. So i decided to drive down there to pick up my pizza. I had not eaten since around 11 am. I was hungry. I could have gotten taco bell, but I wanted pizza; I was also not aware if the pizza hut that was attached to taco bell had gluten free pizza. I arrive to Buddy's Pizza & Steak. The first thing I noticed was that the entire establishment shined through the night in it's warm colored glow. The second thing I noticed was that there was a Milwaukee transit bus parked on the side of the road. The third thing I noticed was that the establishment was connected to a liquor store. I park my vehicle in the liquor store parking, due to the fact my vehicle is big and takes up some space. I noticed a gentleman in the car to my left and I wondered if he was a driver. As I am entering the store, another gentleman was leaving so I held the door open for him. A third gentleman was talking to the presumed owner of the establishment. I waited my turn until I my turn was up. The man at the counter said my pizza was not ready, so I had to wait again. I noticed that there were kid friendly gambling machines; the kind where you put in a couple quarters and you get a gumball or sticker by chance. While I was waiting, I smelled gas so I proceded to inform the worker just in case there was a gas leak. I was then told by the man at the counter that the pan fryer they use releases gas once turned off. I wait a few more minutes until my pizza is ready. I could hear that t.v. show with Seth Meyers in the background and of course they were making fun of our President, Donald J. Trump. When I finally got my pizza, it smelled very good. I was then given back my money for the delivery fee that grubhub took and I was offered a soda. I exit the store and get back in my vehicle. Upon first bite however, I noticed that the sauce was very tomato paste like and that the crust was crunchy. This was due to the fact the gluten free pizza cooks differently than regular pizza, as told by the man at the counter. However, the pizza was still good. Especially at 11 o'clock at night. Overall my experience was satisfactory. The man at the counter was very polite and apologetic. He got me to laugh and the overall selection of food that was on the menu was astonishing for such a small establishment. I will go back, especially due to the fact that the prices were...

Hello Facebook Share Share Please ( Buddy's Restaurant on Appleton Street ) please share & let's don't spend our money there for a couple months until they treat others with the same respect , On Wednesday I tired to place an order at Buddy's restaurant on Appleton street an They refuse to take my order due to something happened with their employee couple years ago. But , that doesn't have anything to do with me .. I'm just another paying customer like anybody else in the city of Milwaukee . Let me remind y'all I just ordered from them on Tuesday evening without any issues but the next day they won't take my order smh , ( I truly give my heart to the person & family of the driver ) . People getting hurt/ killed all around the city of Milwaukee an y'all still delivery / taking orders in those places. Yes I fill a certain kind of way at this point .. Why should I be punished / rejected due someone else foolishness ? Plus , the assistant manager who pick up the phone to take orders was very rude an need to learn some work ethics . Then she start targeting my character . ( I was just a paying customer ) . So , please Milwaukee residence don't order from Buddy's restaurant on Appleton st. until they treat all people with the same respect ! Don't spend your money where it's not wanted / welcome as well ....! We make them in are community they don't make us in the community .. Very sad feeling & hurtful ... Business like this should be point out in are community . I need to hear from the owner an get a big apology about what took place on Wednesday ! Until then please people don't support this Buddy's restaurant on Appleton Street .. Thanks you .. The Community must stand against this behavior from inner city business ! ! had the WORST driver. I was at a place of business when we decided to try their food. They had a van pull up with three people in it, and they pulled up by the front door and sat there for about five minutes. They looked extremely suspicious. There was a person in the driver seat, passenger seat, and someone in the back. They took over an hour to get to us. The lady in the back came out carrying a bag of food, I might add there was nothing on the person or the van saying what company they were from. This lady looked like she just rolled out of bed. She came in and said, "y'all ordered some food?" We paid her, then she proceeded back to the van. They started smoking in the car, then left. My coworker had been craving cheesecake forever (which was part of the reason we ordered here) and of course, they forgot it. I ordered ribs, and she ordered a gyro, both of which came with "french fries", and the meat looked like it had been sitting for hours and was extremely cold, and the fries were mushy. I called and talked to the owner and he kept trying to give me a credit for next time. I told him there would be no next time. After more complaining he kept asking me how much my total was (can they not look it up???). He sent out a guy to give us a refund, and the delivery driver didnt even have enough money on him (it was $27.00).
