Adding Hmong Fusion
On a sunday afternoon, hopping with people. The restaurant is located way in the back of Hmong Town. You order from the counter, and they will bring the food to yohu. I saw many Asian families eating humongous bowls of pho, and they looked quite good. I will have to try some time.
On my particular visit, though, we werenāt really hungry, and just wanted a snack. We went with eggrolls and beef intestines, but their sausages and stuffed chicken wings (bones removed and stuffed with eggroll stuffing) also looked so good.
Eggrolls ($1.50) Iāve had some exceptional Hmong eggrolls, so i know these arenāt the best out there, though it wasnāt bad. I wasnāt sure whether they had run out when we got there or whether itās just their practice, but they started rolling and cooking the eggrolls after we ordered them. So it took about 15 minutes to get them. It was steaming hot and good, but again, the flavors werenāt the best iāve had, and it was a bit more on the heavy side with the cabbage. With this in mind, Iām not sure that Iāll try their stuffed wings, cuz they probably use the same in there.
Beef intestines ($8) Steep on the price, but surprisingly good!!! Got me wowed! Not for those who donāt like intestines, obviously, but Iāve had my share and these are good! They are a bit bigger pieces and intestines are very chewy, so they can get a bit tough to chew. But they had no smell, flavors were on the money, and i couldnāt have asked for better. I did take half of it home, and warmed up on the air fryer and cut them more into bite sizes, and it was even better. Would get again!
Previous review:
Used to be old Pacific Produce, but is much cleaner and well maintained than the previous version. You can find pretty much anything you need Asian, though price point is a bit on the higher side compared to other Asian markets in Milwaukee (i.e. Mo's Food Market)
There are lots of eateries inside.
LADY MOON CAFE The spring rolls and bahn mi at the Lady Moon Cafe is awesome, but takes a while after ordering. They make it fresh, so just make sure you either order ahead or be ready wait a while.
PHO 414 Pho 414 has some great stuffed wings. Friends love their pho, but I'm not a huge fan (I just really like the Vietnamese version better - this one is more Laos or Hmong). There is also a red curry noodle dish that I have tried for the first time. It is a very watery/brothy curry rather than the thick curry I'm used to in Thai and Idian cuisine. And the noodles were not as thick as udon noodles but not as thin as the pho rice noodles. I think they also overcooked the noodles in this instance, but I'm thinking they are usually better than this. The heaping portion of shredded cabbage on top was fresh and crunchy and yummy. A very different dish than what I'm used to, and quite good, but not my particular cup of tea.
There is also more eateries on the other side of the market that you can access by going through the other side vendors (mostly selling traditional Hmong clothings etc.) before entering the main market area.
Overall, I'm happy to have found a clean Asian market with good food and...

2025 Came again. This time we came to try out Pho 414. Iām told this is the food restaurant from 5xen market. Just moved over. Had the chicken, pork, and sausage. All items were good. 5xen market just lost their main restaurant. They moved here.
Note, there are two food restaurants here.
2024 Came back to try their pho at Lee Restaurant. Here goes nothing...actually good. I had the Regular large pho. Wow. The meat is cut like real pho too. I'm amazed. Still, not as good as pho from a Vietnamese owner. Still. Decent for Hmong owners. Give yourself an applause. Good job. A little on the salty side, so be careful not to add too much fish sauce, salt, or Hoisin sauce. Now is the hard part, can you keep this broth consistent? Can you keep using the same meat or will you go cheap? Only time will tell. For now, you make decent good pho. No wonder you have a large pho eating crowd! Nice.
FYI, just because I'm Hmong does not make be bias. I have no connections to these Hmong workers or owners. My review is strictly from experience from eating PHO from all over the US. If you made my list, congratulations. If not, try again.
Cons: The bowl is not stainless steel or ceramic. Ceramic holds heat better so the pho stays hot longer. Vietnamese owners have their pho come out piping hot. This cooks any raw meat in the bowl. The regular bowl lacks tripe, tendon, brisket but is still good.
Wait.. the Pad Thai was terrible. Don't bother ordering that item.
Highly recommended
2023 Very big place. Lots of room for more expansions. Similar to MNās āHmongtown market placeā and āHmong Villageā.
Itās a lot larger than ā5xen marketā but the food at 5xen market is very good.
Bubble tea was good. I did notice the food area was VERY dirty. They need help cleaning up the food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGood food but racist. My fiance is mexican and he went with his family and they ordered pho and Khaub piaj. I'd been trying to get my fiance to try khaub piaj for a while now and so when he told me he ordered it, i got really excited and asked him if it was good and if he put in the hot sauce that comes with it in it... He said they didn't give him any sauce. I've eaten khaub piaj there 2 or 3 times and it always comes with the hot sauce. And his parents weren't given any of the pho stuff, like bean sprouts, jalapeno peppers, lime, or basil, so they had to ask and my fiance said they took a while to get it. His dad was complaining about the service. I think it was because they weren't asian so the store people thought they could get away with not providing all the...
