Cousins Subs — Restaurant in Milwaukee

I went into today (11/2/2024) & am seriously displeased with this location! Ordered 2 subs. The meatball one, tasted so terrible! I asked for EASY sauce & they loaded it on! Next, the meatballs tasted like they were sitting in the "pot" forever! They were burnt & so was the sauce! It didn't taste good at all!

The next sub, the individual said, "We're they trying to be funny?!" They asked for SOME pickles. The sub was loaded like it WAS a pickle sub!!! PAID for extra cheese & NO cheese what so ever!!! Plus, it was mentioned to me, COLDEST steak sub they ever have bought!!!

This place needs a SERIOUS overhaul!!! IF someone gets sick, because of poor handling/cooking of food, the Health Department should be called!!! My stomach IS already upset from it! Not to forget the fries were NOT cooked completely! They tasted raw & the cooking oil in the fries should be changed!!! There was "black stuff" all over them & the fries themselves didn't taste very appetizing either!!! What a complete waste of money!!! Won't be back UNLESS they clean up...

I have been going to this cousins for over 20 years. It's a nice go-to when you are sick of fried food and takeout. The cold subs sit well and the hot subs are a nice change of pace. They have an app with free sub rewards.

The workers here are friendly, courteous and work well together. The person who I believe to be the daytime manager always has the best attitude, even when there are many orders. The establishment is clean and has an "A" rating.

The subs are really nothing special but my order has always been correct or fixed immediately. I enjoy the hot cheese steak sub. They have many cold sub options that make great leftovers. I do not question the integrity of my meat and my toppings are always fresh and crisp. The bread does taste like it was made that day.

I do have a different favorite place for subs, but Cousins is great. The other menu additions such as cheese fries, shakes and cheese curds can really add alot to complete your meal and are all excellent but a...

Cousin subs is my favorites sub place. At one point this location was my favorite location, and the subs was really tasty and fresh. However, some months ago I took a break from this locaction because behind the counter was a mess (food on floor and milkshake area looked unkept etc..), and my subs were not good anymore. However, the staff was always nice. I went there today, and the store looked much better (clean), staff was nice as always, and my sub was good. The only thing I noticed was the hard bread.
