Came across a Facebook post advertising their Chimichanga Dinner special, so decided to grab one for the Mrs. on the way home from work. I'll talk about the positive things first. The quantity of food was very generous! I only grabbed a picture of the Chimis, rice and beans, but it also came with chips/salsa, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. That's a lot of food for $12!!!! My wife really liked the food overall. While I was there for only a few minutes, the staff was very attentive. We will definitely be ordering again! This is only personal preference, but we would prefer a more pico style salsa. That's no fault of the restaurant, just to add a consideration as an option. This negative shouldn't really reflect on the current owners, but they took over a total mess of a building. The walls looked dingy and the floor was sticky. I'm sure there are tons of maintenance that they'll be doing. I wish you guys well and we'll see you again!

Just finished with lunch. I went there today in hopes being able to give an incredible review of a lengua torta. What I got was one of the best parrillada. I wiped out almost the whole thing. The short ribs were amazing, the steak was perfect with the right amount of crisp to the edges. They have a nice touch of shrimp in theirs along with traditional chorizo. The ham, bacon, and sausage worked out with salty goodness. I even got a pat on the back from the cook which I think helped me almost consume it all only bringing home a little bit of the chicken home. So now I’m guaranteed another visit so next time I can get my lengua. The horchata was a perfect accompaniment to rinse down that shiny greasy goodness.

This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’ve tried plenty in Wisconsin but nothing compares to this place. It feels so authentic, almost like being at home. The food is absolutely amazing, flavorful, fresh, and worth every dime. Prices are very reasonable and affordable for the quality you get. Whoever is back in that kitchen deserves all the credit, they’re cooking with love and it shows in every bite.

I came in here for the first time with my family the other night because I was in the area and was craving Mexican food.

Pros: Waiter was extremely friendly. He seemed to be the only one serving, and was busy taking care of several tables with a smile. Guy working in the bar was also very friendly as well. Food and beverages were very reasonably priced.

Cons: Chunky salsa was the most watery salsa I've ever seen (maybe it was supposed to be like this?), my entree had an incorrect item (was supposed to be chicken, but was given carne asada instead), which was disappointing because the carne asada was SO full of gristle (I had to spit out a piece in every single bite). Gristle in carne asada is my biggest pet peeve when it comes to ordering carne asada and will sway me away from a restaurant altogether since that is primarily what my family and I order the most of. The rice served with our meals were hard and overcooked in many parts. Bathrooms had a huge full garbage next to the toilet in the stall which is off putting when trying to use the restroom, and the decor right next to the sink had a half inch of dust on it which makes me question the cleanliness. Because our server was so busy, our service wasn't as attentive as it could have been and we were unable to voice our dissatisfaction with our meals. We also had an extra charge on our bill at the end which unfortunately always makes me question if it were done intentionally at the expense of the customer not noticing. We did bring this up to our waiter, and he had it removed.

I do wish this restaurant success, as there are a lot of improvements that can be done that would make it a more enjoyable experience for others. Unfortunately for...

Warm soda in the can. Coca cola. My kids asked for coca cola in a glass bottle. Told they didnt have it. Cases of coca cola in the bottle seen near the bar after going to the rest room. Server could not tell me what options on the menu we're with explanation of the food included in the menu option.Told no flour tortillas over 5 mins of placing the order. Flour tortillas we're for tacos for my children who don't like corn. After i said i would need to change my order for my children they somehow all of a sudden said they could make it work out of large flour tortillias. Ordered two ground beef tacos for my daughter. Asked the server if they we're ground beef when they brought them out because they looked not like ground beef, she said yes. Daughter took a bite of the taco said she hated it, so i ate the rest . Son started eating his chimichanga wich was ground beef. Looked at the meat in his chimichanga it did not look like the same meat in my daughters ground beef taco. Told the server that the tacos did not look like ground beef , the meat in the chimichanga. She addmitted the mistake on the meat. Told server i was willing to pay for the taco i ate from my daughter , but woulld like a refund for the second taco that was made wrong. Server came back and said i must pay for both tacos because i ate the one. I think my story is enough explanation for my 1...

OMG! Authentic excellent Mexican food ! The family and staff there are SO welcoming. We first tried when they had their opening , had the steak tacos great flavor , huge tacos ! When I seen they had Mexican fried ice cream , I had to try. When I went to pick up , they were not able to make the ice cream but they were so apologetic and nice I didn't mind coming back the next day when they said they would be able to make it. Went today , and unbelievably the BEST Mexican fried ice cream I've ever had !!! It is aHUGE portion made fresh to order. Excellent crispy ice cream with a cinnamon shell underneath even comes with chocolate on the side. Trust me when I say order two when you go. They have the best salsa I have ever tasted , with crispy chips in the side. It tastes so fresh and hearty. Perfect amount of heat. Try them once I guarantee you will be back within the week just because you can't eis to try something new. We are planning on going back this weekend. You will feel like family there ! Ten stars if I could give...
