Sabor Culichi (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Milwaukee

I wish I had gone here with a big group so I could try more than just a few rolls—especially since it was my first time here. I came across Sabor Culichi on instagram and was really curious about their food so I gave it a shot.

I know it’s a sushi spot primarily but their tacos were great. The fried shrimp was perfectly cooked and not rubbery whatsoever. The sauce and other toppings were balanced just right that nothing overwhelmed each other.

I thought the sushi that I ordered was just okay, but I tried what my friend had and thought it was much better. They had a lot of options on the menu that I wanted to try so it was just a bad choice for me, but I would definitely go back again and try some of the other items I was eyeing on the menu.

I forgot the name of what I ordered but it was a lot of rice and not much inside, and the only flavor I got from inside was the bacon which was too overpowering.

The service was really great. The guy that took my order was friendly and genuinely appreciative of us being there and checking them out. He gave me a business card and was happy to answer any questions I had about their food truck. Service like that makes all the difference.

Something I’d like to see would be some wasabi and pickled ginger like other sushi places. Or maybe a twist on it to compliment the Mexican fusion. Maybe wasabi and avocado? Or a spicy crema to pour over your sushi.

It’s hard to make a definitive decision on just one sushi roll, so I’ll definitely be back to try what...

Tried this food truck since I work up the road and was definitely surprised. I like to park on the side of the road and put my tailgate down to eat since the local scenery is nice. Don't be dissuaded by the menu if you only speak English, The guys working there speak English and Spanish. Will definitely be back!

Bought some coctel de camarones and ended up really disappointed. Barely any shrimp and waaayyy too much soy sauce or salt and lime... Can't really figure out what was it that they added... But it didn't taste good...
