RNA Tavern — Restaurant in Mineola

RNA Tavern is a cozy place with cool vibes and great drinks! Cigars can also be purchased on site, or you can walk in with your own stogies to enjoy. We purposely went there on a weeknight and sat outside with friends and libations under the covered patio. By the way, the patio is accompanied by an exposed brick wall with a colorful, geometric mural which makes a wonderful backdrop for selfies.The patio is accessible through a secret door, at the back of the bar, disguised as a simple bookshelf. A bohemian styled lounge area is available behind the secret door as well. For distinguishing customers who choose to join the optional monthly membership, a private lounge area is provided upstairs. What a wonderful little hidden gem in Mineola, TX! After an afternoon of thrift shopping, we needed to cool down with a refreshing drink. We found RNA Tavern and were not disappointed!! If you're in the area, go check them out! Jojo, the bartender was absolutely wonderful and so friendly and fun! The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. It's such a neat little place! You've got the downstairs bar area, then you walk through a hidden door, a bookshelf, and it takes you to a private room, followed by the patio and an upstairs cigar lounge. First time going they had an event going on, I only mention this because I don't know how it normally would be. Got a couple drinks and a couple cigars with the wife. Her drink was supposed to be a whiskey sour, but tasted like pink lemonade with a little whiskey in it. My old fashioned was middle of the road, a little sweet for my liking. Considering that, I felt the drinks were a little overpriced. The cigar selection was good, and were a little higher than I expected, but not disappointingly so.
