Overall (5 stars composite score): Good, fast and affordable. Robust lattes and great eats that are priced to be kind to your wallet. This is the classic coffeehouse that we need to see more of.
Drinks/Food (100% of 1.5 star total): 1.5 stars Strongest lattes in Twin Cities. 4 shots of espresso in their 16 oz and 2 shots of espresso in the 10 oz. Everyone else does 2 shots and 1 shot respectively. They offer a simple food menu that is solid and satisfying.
Service (100% of 1 star total): 1 star Shout to Dusty Wahl, your cosmic neighbor and the man in charge. Customers are always guaranteed a good vibe, a warm sandwich and a hot drink that will leave you alert.
Value (100% of 1/2 star total): .5 stars Best value latte anywhere. 16oz latte is only $4.5 with quad shots when other places would easily charge $6.50+ for the same. Food is so reasonably priced that fast food joints are worried. I can grab a Sunny Sammie for $3.50 and it's super filling. The $6 Boss Burrito can satiate even the most ravenous of appetites.
WiFi/Power (100% of 1/2 star total): .5 stars Super fast internet speed 350mbps down and 350 mbps up. Video calls or streaming are at home here. Power strips all over the place guarantees you'll never be lacking a place to plug into.
Seating (100% of 1/2 star total): Cozy, with plenty of seats. This is a comfortable place to work and relax with space to stretch out.
Atmosphere (100% of 1 star total): 1 stars Bathrooms is clean and spacious. Be aware the faucet sometimes comes out VERY hot, even for the cold water. There seems to be a delay of the flow temperature. There's is a low cabinet that can double for a baby changing table...
Read moreI have been coming here since Dusty opened (very quickly approaching the two year mark already?!?) and I should have reviewed sooner! It's such a perfect neighborhood-feel coffee shop that has lots of cozy wood benches, old movies playing as you walk in, local art for display and for sale, and even its own blend of coffee from Vitality roasting. The prices are also easily some of the best in the city for both the food and coffee drinks. The Boss Burrito I'm pretty sure I could eat every day for the rest of my life and never get sick of, and I think is probably my favorite breakfast burrito in the city. All of the espresso drinks (+ chai latte) are always on point, and Dusty is always lovely to chat with + has great music taste. It can be pretty busy on weekend mornings in particular, so it can be good to have a bit of patience as Dusty is a one-man operation (and does a great job at it!). There is also a nice patio out back that is perfect to relax in on sunny mornings. Also note that Dusty does allow one dog in at a time when ordering a coffee, which I appreciate as a dog owner who lives in the...

Despite there being so many options for coffee in the area (and having my own modded out espresso machine) my partner and I find ourselves on many occasions making the drive out to Cosmic.
Dusty is always killing it behind the counter, I don’t know how he does it. The Star Crossed Latte made me realize I do like fruit flavors in my coffee drinks, and I can never resist a Sunny Sammy. It’s always fun to see which movie is on, or what new locally made products have made their way to the center table. Cosmic has a perfect welcoming atmosphere that really feels like you’re part of a community. Can’t...
