Such friendly hospitality and attentive service from the owner himself and the quality is fantastic. I suggest trying some of the Turkish and Middle Eastern specialties as getting them freshly made is a rare treat.

I tried Knafeh for the first time (had the Iraqi version). It's a pastry with gooey cheese on the bottom, phyllo shreds on top held together with sweet syrup, plus a shower of chopped pistachio. Delicious! And not overly sweet. We also tried the plain babousa (honey cake) which was equally delicious.

They make their own version of the viral Dubai-style chocolate stuffed with ground pistachios. Yum, loved that too.

They have about every dessert you can think of. Crepes, rolled ice cream, pancakes and waffles, cannoli, tres leches cake, cheesecake, beautiful specialty babousa in several flavors, the list goes on! They also specialize in the savory snack kumpir, a baked potato with lots of yummy toppings that is a popular street food in Turkey.

The Lake Street location is probably better for pickup. It was very convenient for us as we were in the area, but not a lot of ambience. I want to check out their original location in Northeast Minneapolis where they bake and create all these goodies.

Ordered from Uber Eats for the record. We picked this place for largely deserts and added meals to see what they offered. We ordered 2 combos with drinks and 3 desserts. Unfortunately for us half of our entire order never arrived. We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with a chicken shwarma wrap combo which includes a drink and fries. We also ordered a Tirimasu, Peanut butter cake and an Iraqi Kanafeh. What we received was a generic chicken sandwich ( in no way spicy) and fries, no drinks to be found for either combo. The tirimasu and the Peanut butter cake were entirely missing but fully charged on our receipt. The Kanafeh was good but I cant express how dissapointed we were from this as we were excited for the 2/3rd desserts that sadly never came. As this was our attempt to try something new, this highly discourages us from ordering again. Word of warning for anyone ordering through uber eats, if we knew this what was going to be delivered, we would have...

The food is absolutely delicious!! I've tried most of their desserts, and I've loved literally all of them! I love coming here.

However, if it's really busy and you're picking up an order, please check your bag to make sure everything is in there. I've had missing items on 2 occasions and only realized after getting home. On one of them, I decided to call them and let them know. They realized the item was still with them, and they told me I could come back later and get it. The next morning, I arrived, and they treated me like I was extremely suspicious and clearly didn't believe me. After 10 minutes of discussing and calling someone else to verify I wasn't lying, they gave me the cake and ice cream that I already paid for.

I didn't love that experience, but it didn't stop me from coming back many times again. I love their food and will continue to support them. But I hope situations like that can be avoided...
