Simply Creative — Attraction in Minneapolis

A few friends and I were celebrating the December birthdays in our group and decided to do an activity before dinner. Enter Simply Creative : a beautiful, artistic space designed to release your imagination and inner creativity.

We chose the holiday candle + bracelet making class and it was a huge hit! There were so many choices of beads to choose from for the bracelets, and it was so fun smelling all the aromatic scents for the candles and sharing our favorite scents with friends before deciding on a candle. I absolutely loved it !

The best part was that it wasn't too loud and it was easy to carry on a conversation. Everyone in the group was friendly and supportive of each other's bead and candle artwork. I just loved the environment and space.

It was expensive - around $70 with tax - but it was totally worth it for the experience. And like I said, the selection of beads and aromatics were so unique, it was worth the cost for that experience alone!

Besides classes, the place also sells art and creative pieces like jewelry and other trinkets.

Tuesdays with Molly is an absolute blast! Not only is she a skilled painter, but such a terrific teacher. As someone who likes art but who is intimidated by a canvas, Molly creates an environment of play and exploration that creates ease. I've taken 4 of Molly's paint classes now, and I've grown braver in each one as she helps draw out confidence for even the most novice of beginners. She takes time to explain each step but cues people who are further along, so everyone can paint at their own pace. She creates space for questions and individual guidance (only if desired- those who just want to go and do their own thing have the space to do so). I've had such a fun time both going by myself or bringing a family member or friend along. A few of my friends who have joined are also professional artists and they too have expressed having such a good time, being glad that they've gone, and planning to join again. I know I have my eyes on a few more of her classes, and can't wait until my kids are old enough for her...

My best friend and I took the stacking ring class here today, it far exceeded any expectations that we had. We had so much fun, the class was not overly complicated, but not too easy where you didn’t have to pay attention. We did the gold rings which is marked as slightly more advanced on the website, we are not crafty at all and had no problem with the gold rings. Hailey was an amazing instructor, and she is clearly passionate about all things creative!! Good value for your money to come home with 3 rings and have a great time making them yourself.
