First time visit, lovely place! Large menu of drinks but also lunch and breakfast type foods. To-go packaged fresh foods as well as options from the kitchen. Packaged foods include cake and baked goods options as well as salads and veggies, parfaits and a few other items. Ample seating but it was packed when we arrived. There was a single 2-seat table perfect for us in the room with the counter, and there were 2 other similar tables. Other tables are in the back of various sizes along with a few booths.

Clearly a community-oriented local shop. Lots of other cute local shops in the area as well. Local art for sale on the walls as well as some community information.

The coffee is good, though unremarkable. We both got drip though I also had a Florentine which is drip mixed with hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is made with milk and in addition to cow’s milk they have oat, soy, and almond milk options. The Florentine was delicious but how could it not be. ;) It’s a good option to get chocolate flavor but without the extra sweetness or espresso of a mocha. Drip coffee options were 3 different caffeinated and 1 decaf.

Nothing is advertised as gluten free but the breakfast and salad menus show options which should be gluten-free but I’m not sure if cross contamination is expected. We didn’t eat so I can’t comment. Plenty of vegetarian options but not much for vegan at...

The Coffee Shop NE seemed to be a very relaxed space when I went to check them out for the first time. There is a large dining room-like seating area in the back of the restaurant that caught me off guard as I didn’t think the space would be so large inside from the street view. The front of the store had on display some work from a local artist, and I felt like this could be a comfortable place to sit and read for a while. There are plenty of parking options with a public lot and free street parking nearby, but located in an overall very walkable area. While I initially thought my order of a smoothie and breakfast wrap was a bit expensive, I was super happy with the value I received once I was done. The smoothie was very refreshing, and the wrap was surprisingly dense, filling, and flavorful. I really enjoyed it as well that for a coffee shop there is still a wide variety of non-coffee drinks to choose from, and I can certainly see myself trying more of their menu...

8/2025: Update: remains my #1 favorite coffeeshop!! Love all of the staff and baristas!

9/2024 Update: #1 favorite coffeeshop. It's always busy and every person behind the counter continue to be kind and helpful! I've started eating more food on the menu (instead of coffee and cake). It's a great spot for a relaxing breakfast or lunch. Not to mention delicious cake, always!!

9/2022 Update: Still my favorite local coffeeshop! Since the pandemic, they have removed all seating in the front section to give space for people to stand and wait for orders. The wait can be long during coffee rush hours and having a safe space to stand is great! The back is opened up for seating to dine in our spend time with friends or work. I love all of their baked desserts, still a fan of the pistachio cake!

My favorite coffeeshop!! Great drinks and food!! Love their cakes... pistachio is dreamworthy. Also love chocolate on chocolate and carrot cake!! Great...

Be clear if you order something different. I specifically asked for a very strong Earl Gery with steamed milk. I got a ' London-Fog' specialty drink. ( it was very very syrup and too sweet to save. Had to toss it) but I love thier curried tuna salad so I did survive. I called to ler them know not to just - assume I want the specialty drink. My fault I should have specifically told them absolutely NO SUGAR. They were very apologetic and kind as usual. They asked to make it up- but I so infrequently go there- I said no worries. I'm just not doing coffee for Lent. So buyer make sure your instructions are very very clear to all. My order got passed to another person. I think that was the mix up. Yes I would go there again

Great place to hang out and get work done. Relaxing atmosphere; not overly noisy. Background music is nice and not too loud or distracting. Their chicken salad sandwich is bomb! Very craveable - fresh bread, almonds, lettuce, tomato, and the cherries take it to the next level. I was surprised by how reasonable their prices are compared to some other coffee shops I frequent. I'll probably start coming here more often! My iced coffee was solid, as was my nutella, banana, and almond sandwich - very unique! Friendly staff. There are two gender-neutral bathrooms here, and an ample parking lot next to the building. Overall, a nice local coffee shop!
