Concern Regarding Inconsistent Policy Enforcement at Starbucks Location
Dear Starbucks Customer Service,
Iām writing to share a concern regarding a recent experience at one of your locations. Iāve been a loyal Starbucks customer for years and have consistently had positive visitsāincluding bringing my well-behaved dog with me on several occasions, both at this location and others, without issue.
However, during a recent visit with my spouse and our dog, I was unexpectedly told by an employeeāonly as I reached the counter to orderāthat pets were not allowed in the store. This was confusing and frustrating, as just days earlier I visited the same store with my dog and was even complimented by staff on how adorable he was. Additionally, Starbucksā online listings and marketing often promote pet-friendly spaces, further contributing to the confusion.
What stood out most to me was the timing and handling of the situation. If pets were truly not permitted, I would have appreciated that being communicated upon enteringānot at the point of ordering. I even asked if I could quickly place my order and then step outside, but this request was denied. Other customers around us seemed unbothered, and there was no visible issue until the staff member brought it up at the register.
My primary concern is the lack of consistency in enforcing policies, and the way this situation was handled left my spouse and me feeling unwelcome. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and clarity around store policies, so experiences like this can be avoided in the future.

However, the inconsistencies in the drinks they make are big. 1 time we were told the pump was broken. 1 time was told its cause I ask for light ice. The drinks are usually very weak. I often have to ask for extra pumps when I pick up my drink. I know this going in so I already add extra pumps at this location. They are also frequently out of things. Currently dome lids, so frappe's aren't getting whipped cream, which makes them, well, just odd. We frequent 3 starbucks in the area and this one seems like they maybe don't have a solid staff in place yet and are still working out the inventory levels.
