We went to Stooges tonight 11/9/24 to see Darrell Harwood . First time at Stooges and we normally don’t go out so tonight was a first in a while . We got there about 9:45 went in and straight to the bar . There was 5 of us . We stood at the bar for over 45 minutes trying to get alcohol and never got served ( yes we were completely sober ) I mentioned to one of the bartenders we had been standing there for 20 minutes and would like to order a beer and she smarted off and said other people were waiting to . Mind you 2 people that stepped in front me at the bar she served . While I’m still standing there with money in my hand pretty much waving it and I asked another bartender this one I think was server and she told me she couldn’t help me . One particular bartender served every one around me but me . Not good business at all !! Not sure why they wouldn’t help me , from standing there watching they seamed to help men over women. Because as I said everyone around me she served mostly men . And please don’t say she didn’t see me because she looked and spoke to me multiple times rudely telling me they were trying etc . Not once taking my order. It was very rude !! I definitely don’t recommend this place as the aren’t friendly and just because the waitresses are cute their service sucks and they are...
Read moreWATCH YOUR BILL, CHECK YOUR BILL!!!! They have excellent bartenders that keep up with the crowd, but they've "screwed" me twice and overcharged me. The first time i caught it, the second, I didn't. Ok, look let's be honest, it's a decent local bar that has decent bands most of the time and really good bands on regular occasion. The tater tots are awesome. The menu is regular run of the mill food. Nothing to brag on but decent. I'm not saying don't go here, just watch your alcohol bill.
Let me update this post...... My better half and I frequent Stooges on a semi-regular basis, especially when certain bands are performing. We were indeed overcharged once while with a group of friends but that was taken care on the spot (although with some argument with the waitress who no longer works there). The two of us usually drop around $100 or more, so the night in question, we were headed home and stopped in for a quick drink (2 beers and 2 top shelf bourbon shots). The next morning, there was a $50 charge, that was what set me off. The bill was only $26 and I gave an $8 tip. It has since finalized and the correct amount came out. I apologize for my quick reaction, and will definitely return there (we still would have even if the bill was actually wrong) Thank you Mark for your...
Read moreThis place don't treat all their customers the same. It look to be racist. I ordered Gin and tonic, but put the tonic on the side. I was charged for the tonic that came out the machine. I see another customers with a bottle of tonic I try to talk to the bar worker, she didn't not come up with any reason. Just said I'm band from coming there. I don't normally go to these types of places, this was my second time. I'm black and the other person wasn't. I would never go here anymore after been treated like my money don't matter. BAD, BAD, PLACE FOR US!
P.S. I see that they replied with nothing but lies!!! Never ask for anything FREE!! For those of you that want great service go to, Fleming,, and Duckworths, these are great places with...
