Saturday, October 18 at 11:00 am, my wife and I stopped for the first time in this rather new Waffle House for breakfast. It was packed and very busy. While we waited for a table to clear, my wife and I both commented that we had never seen so many staff working behind the counter of a Waffle House, and we have eaten at many Waffle Houses across the US on tour. There must have been 8-10 team members standing shoulder to shoulder preparing food. And everyone was hustling, there wasn't anyone just standing around doing nothing. As we were waiting for our table, we looked around the restaurant. It is the standard Waffle House layout with one big improvement. It seems the booths have more "belly" room than older Waffle House stores. That is a smart improvement considering the "growing" American population. In about 7 minutes the table busser cleared two chairs at the counter for us and we sat down and placed our order. Our server, though busy, was extremely friendly and professional. She took our order, got us coffee and away she went. We sat and watched the team working together like a well oiled machine. The Manager (?) was elbows deep in the work and calling out the tickets and keeping things organized. She also continually thanked her team and shouted out encouragement to them. I couldn't figure out why they were cooking so much food as the entire grill was filled with a stack of more tickets. I then realized they had a huge number of phone-in orders. The sheer volume of orders called in for pickup made it a little slow getting tables in the restaurant served as they were cooking first orders in first orders out. But as I said, not one employee was slouching, they were all working hard and moving fast. Our food eventually arrived and we were not disappointed. We are huge Waffle House fans and this food was delicious. It was definitely worth the wait. And Kudos to the entire restaurant team, they worked hard! One recommendation I would make is to have the table busser during peak times to grab a coffee pot and refill cups, or refill other drinks to help out the servers. Other than that, I'd say the team did well. I highly recommend this location, and remember, thank the team for their hard work serving you. They do appreciate and deserve it. Thank you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I came in around 6:45pm on a Tuesday evening( yesterday) we were not greeted and were told to sit anywhere. Our waiter was Ruby, she was inattentive and simply rudeā¼ļøā¼ļø We ordered our all star as usual and a patty melt without bacon. We got a sandwich with bacon; My husband simply removed the bacon. ā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøOn my sons plateā¦As I pushed his eggs to the side to place half of the waffle on there I realize that there was a HAIRā¼ļø in his eggs!!!! As she stands there I show her, she said we can remake the eggs! I said ok but Iām not eating anything off this plate, including the waffle I placed right by the eggs. She said there is nothing wrong with a little hair⦠as if this was normalā¼ļøā¼ļøI said remake the plate because we are not eating this one. She came back without the waffle. I said I want my half of waffle, she said well I will have to charge you for it because the hair was only on the eggs! No apologies or anything she immediately began to argue as to how she was going to charge for it. My husband and I asked for a manager and told her we are not paying for the waffle; there is hair in our food. She said ohhh they arenāt here. She then went off to complain to her coworker. It took another 15 minutes on her attempt to make a half waffle. 1st half waffle attempt failed so then she made a full waffle. We have been living in the area for 9 years and this has been the worse experience weāve had at a Waffle House!!!! I will be contacting the manager, corporate or whoever. Dispite that I appreciate the o cook who apologized politely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere is the negative star option..My wife and I went in for food and initially was pretty satisfied until we heard a Terminex tech speak these words from the back area, "I found the spot where something has been chewing and will put some steel wool there and do the best I can". We was instantly done eating and got the manager. Didnt get her name but she came over and as we told her about what we heard she down played it as if Rats or other pest is ok in a food establishment. She said "I saw it and it stayed in the back anf we are open 24 hours so we haven't noticed it on the counters or anywhere in the dining area. She acted like we were wrong for calling her on it and hesitantly compted the 25% of the meal the we had eaten. As she walked off she mumble "geeeez" so I called her back over and lost it. I told her exactly how I felt and said a bad or two which I regret because I am much more capable of communicating with more suitable words. They clearly dont care about the resturant environment let alone how a customer might feel about eating with an animal/pest problem. Avoid unless your used to that type of...
