We have given this restaurant several chances to change our minds; 4 tries in fact. It truly is a shame, because I want them to succeed, but at this rate, they are doomed for failure. We met our neighbors for dinner, 5 of us total, on Friday night. The waitress was super nice, but seemed either new or in over her head. During our whole stay we had 3 glasses of water for the whole table of 5, that she never refilled. My son's steamed shrimp shumai, which did not come out with the other appetizers, I had to ask about it, was totally cold in the center and we had to send it back. We ordered a double roll for him and he stayed hungry. My husband ordered the hibachi scallops and he got sick from them. He said they were rubbery and possibly undercooked. His chicken fried rice lacked the flavor we've come to know from other Sushi Sakes. My lobster roll was good and our neighbor's food was good too. The waitress never stopped by to offer more drinks, so they lost revenue there. It's sad. The owner should be present. Of all the times I've been, she was only present the first time. If she wants to save this place, she really needs to be there to try and save it. For the prices being charged the food quality and QUANTITY needs to improve as well as the service. Not sure we will give it a 5th try. This restaurant is unlike the Sushi Sake in Key Largo which we love because it's so consistent. Too much money for mediocre food...
Read moreI ate at Sushi Sake again after 1year. I thought Sushi Sake would change for the better. Unfortunately it hasn’t change. The food is not good. The steak wasn’t hot. It came with Miso Soup it salad. I wanted salad and they didn’t have salad. I asked if I can have the vegetable soup since they didn’t have salad in stock. The waitress said yes, but she charged me for the soup. If I knew she was going to charge me I wouldn’t have got the soup. The soup was terrible and didn’t taste like vegetable soup. Also food very expensive. If I can I would give this restaurant a Zero. I will never give this establishment my business again.
This place went down hill fast. When they first opened up it was good. Great service and food. I went there the other day. Service was terrible. It wasn’t that crowded. I asked the waitress about 6 times for a cup of ice. I finally got it 30 minutes later. How hard is it to bring ice. I ordered hot food and a salad. They bring the salad last. Normally they bring the salad first. I guess not here. When I finally was done with my salad the food was cold. I should have taken my food back, but I didn’t feel like waiting another hour. Very expensive for cold food. I guess I have to take this restaurant...
Read moreBEWARE THEY UP-CHARGE YOU ON THE RECIPT ! The prices shown on the menu are not what they are charging you for. My husband and I tried this place for the first time and it’s a good thing we checked the receipt! One item on the menu listed for $12.00 and we were charged $15.00 and more items that were also INCORRECT. When we asked to speak to the manager he told us that they can not honor the menu prices even though it is incorrect. We understands it was a couple dollar difference however, this is WRONG and they should’ve owned up to the prices being incorrect and correct our bill to the prices stated on the menu. The manager laughed at our faces and said, “it’s only a couple dollars, what’s is the big deal?” and blamed our sweet waiter for giving us the menu. It’s unfortunate because just before this incident occurred I told my husband that this was our new sushi spot because it was absolutely delicious, but clearly new management has no idea what they’re doing and we will not...
