La Tia Tacos & More — Restaurant in Mission Viejo

Unfortunately my first time experience didn't work out how I would have liked. I was really craving quesabirria tacos and paid for that only to be disappointed at the lack of cheese. In addition I ordered a total of 9 tacos and got two salsas. This is UNACCEPTABLE! specifically because I called the restaurant immediately after placing my order to request they add salsa since the restaurant opted to not have "instructions" opened on doordash app. It really sucks. For me salsa is a deal breaker and I don't understand why restaurants think it's okay to send two or three with a decent amount of items ordered. It should be noted that I did pay for the "chips and salsa" side but that salsa is chip salsa not taco salsa (spicy). Not sure if an experience at the location would be different but this was my experience ordering on app and it sucks because I want to be able to order items and trust that if I'm told u will be provided salsa that I get more than two for an order of 9 tacos. It's not unreasonable. Mind you we are paying extra fees to have this be delivered....

First time here. I am always looking for a good place for Chile Verde. It’s not easy to make. I was not disappointed. I’m definitely coming back. So glad I found La Tia Tacos.

Chile Verde needs to be simmered for hours with just the right chilies and spices. You can’t shortcut the process or it will taste like boiled pork with sauce poured over it. My Chili Verde burrito had great flavor. The beans weren’t overcooked, the rice was fluffy and tasty. And, there was a good blend of cheese. All proportioned properly and folded properly so that I experienced all the flavors in each bite. (I might be a bit obsessed with making a burrito correctly).

A few chips accompanied my burrito and there was an extensive salsa bar available. I added some green salsa to my burrito. It also had a good flavor. Not overpowering.

I will be coming back soon and along the way I will pass no less than five other Mexican food options. Great menu. Clean casual (fast food) ambiance for dine in. Friendly staff.

Cool and clean restaurant with very friendly folks working there, with a smile and great attitude. I really like whatever tortillas they use for their burritos. They are soft and delicious and far better than what you buy at the store. The pollo burrito I had was decent but nothing too special in terms of flavor or ingredients (chicken, beans, rice). The chicken seemed high quality but overall the flavor was pretty average except for the above average tortilla. The salsa bar is nice to have - nothing exceptional there either but beats no salsa or “charge for salsa” options of some other Mexican restaurants. The venue is new, clean and has plenty of seating inside and outdoors. They also have a baked potato on the menu which is unique for a Mexican joint. Looking forward to...
