When I got here the tables were already dirty which is understandable. They clean the tables. Then when we placed our order the server Carlton seemed a bit impatient. We ordered drinks. My husband asked for an additional cup of soda. As we got our drinks and everything was fine. Then we finally got our food. The waiter never brought any refills. My French toast was not even completely on the plate. Like it was tossed on a plate and hanging off to the point to where it was touching the table. The pancakes were ice cold. I had ordered double bacon limp which none of my bacon pieces were limp they were all hard and cold as well as if they've been sitting for quite some time. Also I was brought sausages and hard bacon instead of double bacon. My eggs that I ordered scrambled with green peppers and mushrooms were completely watery like sitting in a puddle of water on my plate disgusting. I asked the server to fix the situation and redo my food to where it will actually be hot or at least warm. I've been here the server and the food cook arguing over the food that was prepared. And the cook saying that he refuses to redo my meal to just warm it up in the microwave. And then brought it to the attention of my server that I actually heard what he said. And that I wanted to speak to the manager. He then brought me my food in to go boxes. Although my husband was so irritated that he got up paid for the meal and wanted to leave. I still insisted that we speak to the manager so the managers would know what was going on. The first woman came talked briefly and then said she was going to go get the general manager. Another woman Crystal Baird approached us and asked us to repeat everything we already said. By this time I was furious and trying to calm my child down. She then told me that I can get two slam meals for free for my inconvenience as if that makes up the horrible time I had there on mother's day. The crazy thing was it wasn't even busy. There was absolutely no line. Most of the other food was fine. Just me and my toddler's...
Read moreAfter living in Biloxi 3 years my husband and I need to head north. From our first visit to Denny's when we arrived to our last meal last week, we have enjoyed the food and service! I'm going to get my only negative out of the way first: A restaurant that provides functioning full toilet paper dispensers, clean floor, toilets etc, sets the standard of how your guests perceive how their experience may be. And why did they not get a face-lift during the remodel? Here's the good stuff! We found early afternoons on weekdays are the best times to go. We've had their steak, fish, skillets, and omelets. There's a couple of young men who can WORK a grill! My husband can fill up on the $2, $4, and $6 menu. I have a restricted diet but I can enjoy their 55+ choices and they don't ask me for my licence 😂. I pay attention to how employees interact because it makes a huge difference in the quality of food and service. Whenever we have been there, even when they've been super busy, they have worked very well and smoothly with each other. To be honest, about a year ago it wasn't like that. But within the last 8 months someone took notice and made a positive change and I can tell! We like to eat cheap cuz we like to tip big. Especially cuz they've felt like good friends! We'll miss...
Read moreThis Denny’s has really good food. I have regularly visited this location almost weekly for the past 2 months. Really decent slams, and way better with their Melts and Burgers. Don’t pass up the milkshakes either, they are pretty fire. French Toast is to die for.
But as for the SERVICE, come ANY other time than night because you’ll be stuck there forever trying to even just order food. I’ve been forgotten by a server for 20+ minutes, and I’ve even had to wave at these people for service another time after waiting 15-20 mins (It was like I didn’t exist.). I’ve been in and out of here quicker during the mornings and daytimes, and will probably be dining then. I’ve been better acknowledged and taken care of in less time on these shifts. I get it’s not fast food, but for comparison, my morning/day visits are like a solid 40 minutes, while it’s nearly an hour or more of waiting at night. If you think I’m being harsh, I’ve given these servers nothing but patience, kindness, and delightful tips like any other place. Good customers do at least wait on good food, and I learned that being in the industry myself.
Don’t diss this Denny’s entirely. Just go at the right time for the optimal service. Plenty of good slams and burgers still to be had at...
