This may be my first 1 star review. I visited for the grand opening weekend after seeing a TikTok about a new “food hall”. However, it isn’t a food hall, it’s a counter serve place inside of a gas station. That’s fine, I’ve had plenty of great food attached to gas stations (Joe’s KC I miss you dearly). But for this place to give the impression that they have 4-5 restaurants under one roof when really it’s one restaurant, with the same staff, working with a menu too big to do anything well - it feels deceitful.
As far as food, I tried the wings, the shawarma, and the bacon smash burger. The wings were soggy, the shawarma was dry, and I had to question whether the bacon on the burger was cooked all the way through.
As far as service, I give them a little patience because it was very busy. But the tables were dirty with no one rotating to clean them. In a place where the kiosk prompts the customer for a tip, I would expect the service to be at a higher standard.
My recommendations would be to shrink the menu and only offer 4-5 key dishes that can be done very well. Make them tasty, affordably, and quickly. Build a brand on having “the best shawarma in south Houston” or “the fish basket with the best sauce”. Once you perfect those things your customers will speak for you and bring you the business you deserve. Wishing this place the best and hope to see them improve soon! Misleading advertisement as if it was it's own place and similar to The Post, but this is just some random place in a gas station. Ironically they are advertising halal food in the same place with alcohol and gambling machines. But that is probably not their fault. But what is their issue is that the food was pretty bad (with exception of their smash burgers even though they were really really oily), and the rest of the items had no flavor. It’s advertised as a foodhall, ( false) it’s really a corner suite at a gas station, it’s one kitchen that attempts to make everything, my family came here after a Tik Tok real.
Customer service is not really there, the employees don’t know how to smile, instead they try to look like tough gangsters, like running a club or something. The bacon on the burger was Chewy not crispy, fried chicken batter was too hard maybe since it was room temp too.
Waste of time and money, unfortunately I will not be back, maybe in the future they can fix their menu and service….. oh you have to TIP which is ok but where is the nice...
