Casa Vaqueros is an exceptional restaurant that does not dissapoint. A hidden gem with an A rating from Missouri city, which is no easy feat. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a lovely host staff that direct you to a booth or table depending on size of party and provide menus. Wait staff is attentive and diligent and get drinks soon after you sit down. Lunch specials are great and the rest of the menu stays true to classic Mexican cuisine. Food arrives fairly quick and freshly made. Ive ordered beef and chicken fajitas in different ocassions and meats have always been seasoned perfectly and never dry. All to go orders are given with chips and salsa on the side as well, something not all Mexican restaurants do. Overall, this restaurant is a great destination for locals and those looking for a place to have a meeting in. Very popular spot and great atmosphere. Update: enhanced cleaning procedures to accommodate pandemic concerns. Employees wear face masks and regularly clean menus and high touch areas. You call ahead to place an order and pick up when you arrive in the hostess booth inside or give them a call and one of the employees will deliver your food to your car....

First time to this restaurant based on its high rating.

Ordered over the phone for pickup. The lady was nice and helpful so service is great.

Portion size is great.

The Chicken Quesadilla meal comes with beans and rice, pico, guac and sour cream. The beans was good but the rice was not tasty so I mixed the rice with beans and the combo was great. I was a bit disappointed at the quesadilla. It had too much chicken, which I wouldn’t complain about if the chicken was actually seasoned. Chicken to cheese ratio was off. Not enough cheese and the cheese was hardly melted. I wanted to like it but honestly it was just not good. I’ve had better quesadillas.

I would give the Queso a 3. Maybe I’m just spoiled by the Queso from Torchy’s which is the best I’ve had so far. The cheese was well blended and somewhat tasty. However it got stiffer by the minute as it cooled off. Became too thick.

Overall based on my personal experience with this particular Chicken Quesadillas I’d give this place a 2.5.

I still recommend. Maybe other items on the menu are better. Just not the...

I Ordered a takeout order through Door Dash. They accused the delivery driver of stealing a meal. Sure, the driver picked it up, went through it, stole our enchiladas, and packed everything back in there nice a neat… That is absurd and these people have always been ok when dining there, unless they get something wrong. They have numerous times got something wrong and said me or someone I was dining with was lying about something as small as wanting charro beans instead of refried. I always have just let it go but today they just really frustrated us when it’s very clear they made the mistake and refused to admit it or do anything about it. They are shiesty and shady. I have watched their food quality and service decline rapidly over the years and can’t wait to see how the new Johnny Tamale restaurant will be. I can’t see myself ever supporting mediocre food and terrible service. No integrity and today absolutely rude. They have gone from ok to the worst place to get Mexican Cuisine! Glad they will have some competition a...

I've driven past this restaurant on numerous occasions and the parking lot is always full. I asked my husband to dinner tonight to give it a try. It didn't disappoint. The food was really good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The staff were really friendly, attentive to our needs (we didn't need anything, but they checked on us frequently), they had pleasant smiles, and our waiter stopped by for a short conversation. He said they're tex-mex, but I'd say they were the closest to authentic that I've visited in the area. The food was way better than the chain restaurants I see in the area. We'll go back. My husband said he wished they were closer to our home so he didn't have to drive a little bit to get to it. I think he enjoyed it. I had the Carne Asada and he had the pork chops.😊

My sister and I were so excited to come here for lunch, it USED TO BE one of our favorite spots. Our last experience, however, was absolutely horrible. The waiter we originally had passed us on to another server, who was not attentive, knowledgeable or kind. Any time we asked for something, it was met with an attitude and behavior that suggested that he had NO COMPREHENSION whatsoever of ANY menu items or ingredients at all. The manager also had an attitude when she approached the table. We remained kind and patient but continued to be met with a condescending tone until we paid out. It was very disappointing and unfortunately we won’t be back to this establishment. I wish I could put an 1/8 of a star.
